Hi all. Today i have been discharged from the hospital as i refuse to take statins. I was blatantly told that their job is to prescribe medication and if i refuse to take it, they will refer me back to my gp who can monitor my cholesterol via blood tests. Fair enough but before they completely remove

3-1/2 Weeks Bell's Palsy Update
I'm on my 3-1/2 weeks having Bell's Palsy with no signs of movement. I can't move my eyebrow, nostril, cheek and lips. Still frozen. I'm getting frustrated. I did the 10 day PRednisone/Antivrals from the first day I got this facial weakness. Even the urgent clinic doctor told me that I'm on a mild

Apixaban and Omega 3
Has anyone had advice from their EP or GP regarding Apixaban and Omega 3 supplements.? The only guidance I found was about Warfarin, and that Omega 3 made this more effective.

Alternate therapies
Hello everyone. This is my first post. 4 months ago I was diagnosed with wet macular in right eye. The same afternoon I was referred to a retinal specialist by my opthomologist and was given an injection of Avastin. Within 10 min afterwards the pain was excruciating. No sleep that night from pain.

As promised, Sodium Monosulphite FREE Large peeled cooked prawns from Sainsburys.
ISBN NUMBER 0022 8206 These are Sodium Monosulphite FREE, hence they will NOT harm you if you are gluten/wheat intolerant, as this ghastly preservative provokes an auto immune mast cell granulation reaction, releasing huge amounts of histamine throughout the body which causes us all yet more inflammation

Blood thinner tests
I am currently on aspirin and omega 3 because of some moderate cardiac disease. If I go back on a blood thinner because of the a-fib I am concerned about bleeding. Does anyone know of or get a type of blood test to monitor the coagulation of the the blood and modify the medications accordingly?

93 year old Mum with vascular dementia, advice please regarding supplements vs anti-clotting drug
My dear Mum who was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2015 after many years of me telling doctors that she had memory problems. All they did was put memory problems on her notes. Finally she had an MRI and a diagnosis. Mum has taken supplements all her life starting with her Mum giving her rosehip
