Second round of ICSI approaching
I was advised after my miscarriage that I have a 10% chance of becoming pregnant using my own eggs, as my blood test revealed that I’m perimenapausal! I’ve been reading around about low egg reserve and quality and I’m taking CoE10 (or however you spell that one), DHAE, follic acid, vitamin D, omega

Plant Doctor speaks about people stopping being vegan
Dr Garth Davis responds clearly to millenials (youtubers etc) who give up veganism arguing by and large they were not following healthy diets, instead fad diets, certainly not following any diet recommended by Garth Davis himself. He talks about how their diets fall short. https://www.youtube.com/watch

Managing Chronic Kidney Disease: the Acid/Base Balance Approach
I am a 70 year old biologist with some medical education as well. I recently had a radical nephrectomy due to Renal Cell Carcinoma. My post operative blood chemistry changed dramatically w my eGFR dropping from 70 to 38 with corresponding somewhat dramatic increase in Creatinine, Phosphorus and Potassium

Omega 3 supplement?
Hi ladies, I’m new to this group. Tomorrow I’ll be 6 weeks pregnant with my first following IVF. I’ve come across some articles recently recommending an omega 3 supplement for brain development. Are any of you taking one? If so, is there a specific brand you recommend? Thank you.

Feeling worse before feeling better?
Hey, hope you’re all well! I found out last week that I’m severely deficient in vitamin D and have started on 20,000IU twice a week, with which I also take vitamin K2 and magnesium. I’ve also started taking B12 again, omega 3 and ferritin as these were below optimum too. The problem is, I feel awful

Vitamin B6 and Vitamin D levels insufficient
Has anyone here had improved egg quality after taking supplements? On our first and only cycle so far we got 5 eggs and had complete failed fertilisation, they stated this was due to egg quality and my age (I turned 39 the day egg transfer should have been), they also said there was nothing I could

Newly diagnosed with pmr and Gp has suggested alendronate to preserve bone density while taking prednisone. Would prefer diet & excercise.
Having read all I can on the topic it seems the research points to biphosphonates as being superior to diet (including extra calcium & vit D) & excercise for preventing bone loss in post menopausal women. Would love to know if anyone can show evidence this may not be true as would much prefer to try

To medicate or not?
My 6 year old daughter was diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety and SPD in October 2018. We have been trying high quantities of Omega 3 fish oils and magnesium for a few months. Her anxiety has definitely lessened, as have her rages and SPD sensitivities. However, she is still pretty hyperactive, easily distracted
