alendronic acid pmr-like side effects
Painful muscles and joints are listed as a common side effect of alendronate, but I haven't seen much discussion of it on this forum. I've been on prednisone for PMR since early May, 2020 and am down to 3mg. Declining bone density showed up on DEXA scan this winter and my rheumatologist recommended going

First gynea appointment and laparoscopy
First appointment went really well with my gynecologist, she did a quick internal exam to check tenderness. She said she will send me for further testing to see if anything has changed since my last scans. She will see me again in 3 months to discuss the scan results and make the decision to go ahead

Covid 19 and vitamins - preliminary results of observational study
Research shows some vitamin supplements may have a small effect on COVID-19 risk December 1, 2020 Many people think that taking vitamins and other supplements can help maintain a healthy immune system. At the beginning of the pandemic, sales of supplements skyrocketed and vitamin shelves were stripped

Pain killers or not? Perplexed.
Hi, I have a dumb question. It's 3.5 weeks since my diagnostic laparoscopy, so I think the incision points are more or less healed. The consultant told me there was too much work to do in one day surgery session & needed an MRI and multi-discipline team to look at results. I was feeling virtuous, not

Self-help with nutritional supplements for RLS
I have RLS for about twelve years. I have started with a few restex. It worked great but I read about the augmentation. So I decided to find a better way for me. I startet with homeopathy (zincum valerianicum). It worked for a half year. Then I found CES brain stimulation. this worked also for a half

Is it possible for Ursodiol responders to stop responding to the medication in the future?
That's my biggest worry. I am a responder now but I worry about the future.

Timing of/taking supplements
Hi I already take quite a few supplements ie vits/minerals etc. Take magnesium, calcium, multi Bs, Omega 3, D3 etc. I've only just been more aware of the timing of taking them, when alerted to possible iron level issues with RA. As I'm also vegan, I have tried to separate certain ones like magnesium

Supplements, choline, etc.
Hi everyone, I've been taking a centrum multivitamin, omega 3, and vitamin d supplement for just over a year now but recently got some choline as I have read in a few places it's good for liver problems however a search on here brings up nothing about choline. Does anyone else take it or have been told

Fish Oil Supplements
I have been faithfully taking Omega-3 (500mg) three times daily hopefully thinking it will help prevent my arrhythmia from coming back. Today I came across two articles by Verywell that counter this belief: https://www.verywellhealth.com/fish-oil-may-not-reduce-cardiac-events-study-finds-5088456?utm_campaign

Could my symptoms be endometriosis?
Hello! I hope you are all coping ok. I felt compelled to join this forum because I am getting to the end of my tether with my symptoms and lack of support from GP’s. I would really appreciate some guidance on whether you think my symptoms could be endometriosis and if anyone has had any similar experiences

Alendronic acid tablets
Although I was diagnosed with PMR over a year ago I was not prescribed alendronic acid tablets until a month ago due to an oversight at the surgery However I have not responded well to these tablets at all with even worse reflux and mouth ulcers over the following 24 hours. I take 40mg of esomeprazole

Weight struggles
Hi all. I am struggling with my weight which I think is related to my PBC & Ursodiol. I have been walking, on average 3 miles/day, 6 days a week. I have been calorie counting & trying to make healthy choices. I have been doing this since December & my weight remains the same. Does anyone have any experience
