Is it normal to feel terrible before feeling better?

Hey, hope you’re all well! I found out last week that I’m severely deficient in vitamin D and have started on 20,000IU twice a week, with which I also take vitamin K2 and magnesium. I’ve also started taking B12 again, omega 3 and ferritin as these were below optimum too.

The problem is, I feel awful. My whole body aches and I feel mildly nauseous constantly from how tired I am. I feel so exhausted and drained that it’s scaring me and I feel like something is seriously wrong. Could it be the overload of vitamins making me unwell? Should I keep pushing through until these ‘side effects’ hopefully go away?

You shouldn't start lots of new vits at the same time as you won't know if any of them cause you side effects, one at a time with a couple of weeks in between is the better way.

Some people cannot tolerate VitD so that may be a problem for you, maybe stop taking them and when you feel better start again, slowly!!

Is it just low vitamins and minerals you are suffering with - or do you have low thyroid too ? Do you have Hashimotos ? - gut issues ? Are you taking any other medications ? How are your Ferritin levels now ?
