I recently posted a question just prior to my neurology visit about my gate being off and got some really good answers however after visiting my neurologist I was put on a medication called ampyra. You have to get it from a specialty pharmacy and my copay is 47$ a month but it is ms specific. It takes

Road blocks
Hi all,I thought I'd update you all. I went into hospital in the 20/02 to have my second last chemo before the BMT. Upon admission, I had a fever. After 4 days of fevers and a rash from head to toe, the doctors elected to postpone the BMT. So now the search is on to find out what drugs didn't agree

update
hi to those of you that follow me on here and those who don’t just wanted to do a quick update. So I saw Transplant consultant last month and he said I probably won’t live 5 years without a transplant. I went back yesterday as follow up as they are now seeing me monthly, and we’ll I was totally surprised

Doctor wants me to start Hydrea
I am 44 years old. I was diagnosed with ET 3 years ago. My platelet count had been pretty steady at around 700, sometimes it would spike to mid 700s or up to as high as 800. My last visit was 846 and the Doctor began to panic a little bit. She wanted me to start Hydrea 500mg 3 times a week to get things

Indigestion Medications
Hi All Can anyone recommend an effective indigestion tablet/liquid that is gluten free. I tried gaviscon advance recently which worked so well but then I reacted as if I’d eaten gluten, it is listed as gluten free so must have been another ingredient that I’m sensitive to, but don’t want to try it

COLONOSCOPY AND GASTROSCOPY TOMORROW
Hi everyone, having my first colonoscopy and gastroscopy tomorrow, to say I am stressed is an understatement, keep imagining all sorts of things, any advice on how to handle the anxiety would be greatly appreciated.

stool withholding - dulcosoft liquid an option?
Hi We have a nearly 4 y/o daughter who started withholding about 4 months ago. She point blank refused any mivicol or cosmocol, not even the flavoured ones so we were told to try lactulose. But even then we can only get about 15ml in her a day because she likes water. someone recommended Dulcosoft

Extremely bad acid heartburn
hi, On here about my mum again. She is suffering really bad with acid reflux. She hasn’t had chemo for 4 weeks but they did attempt debulking surgery which didn’t work. So we are not sure if it’s something to do with the blood thinners or she’s worried it is the cancer. has anyone else suffered

Fybro the answer to everything?
Has any one found that when you go to your specialist and you tell them about a joint pain they automatically reply with, "well you have fybo so..." This has happened to me so many times. One example being that I was getting issues with my left shoulder. The pain was like nothing I've had before. It
