Mortar and Pestle time - Ginkgo update
I was startled to wake up the other day and my mild tinnitus wasn't there. In the eleven months since I've had it, that hasn't happened before. I was left 'feeling alone' if you can imagine that. A brief recap. I've had limited success with Ginkgo and when the lower dose tablet became unavailable I

Hi everyone I guess I'm just needing to vent as I feel so scared and alone. I have suspected Endometriosis but I'm 90 percent certain I have it. So yesterday morning when I woke up and my bladder was full I was feeling very sore round my pelvic region so went for a pee then after I went everything just

Coffee-drinker?
I've had glaucoma since 1988, many ops and drops. Have noticed that my eyes get very misty from time to time, which is a pain when you are having tests to get your driving licence back etc. Thought, blood sugar? That's all I need... Nope. Turns out it's COFFEE that's affecting me! No coffee, no

Mortar and Pestle time - An observation
In my kitchen yesterday. I measured out the crushed tablet. 62mg, which comprises 30mg Ginkgo and 32mg binding agent. I had been tipping the tiny bits into a glass of water and swallowing. 3 of this on dose day. Instead, I chewed those tiny bits. I am now accustomed to a slight rise in tinnitus intensity

Live vaccine for dengue fever
My son lives in Bali. He is in the middle of a very severe bout of dengue fever. I am going to visit him for 3 weeks in July. He has suggested I should have a vaccine before I go. I can find that it is called a " live attenuated dengue tetravalent vaccine". Even the vaccine side effects can be pretty

I have AF but it’s controlled so far with daily flecainide and bisoprolol. I get a three monthly blood test for iron overload but this week the doctor advised me to get a cholesterol blood test as well. All of my results for cholesterol were within the ranges but my doc advised that it’s recommended

Open heart surgery
I had my first meeting with the surgical team at Papworth yesterday . I’m now pencilled in for an aortic valve replacement in June. We discussed my AF , the effects of surgery on episodes after and anticoagulants . Interestingly they stated that oral anticoagulants reduce the risk of stroke by 60/70%

radiation damage to the bladder
my husband has had 4 rather benign treatments of Pluvicto at the recommended 6 week intervals. Treatment #5 is Schilz’s in about 10 days. All of a sudden he is having hematuria and bladder spasms. Can anyone tell me what kinds of treatments are used for radiation burns or irritation to the bladder? Thanks

Apixaban
I wonder if there is anyone here who is over 80, weighs less than 55kg and is on Apixaban? I was on warfarin but due to my INR being very unstable and also my forgetting to take it sometimes, my cardiologist switched me to Apixaban which I found a great improvement in that there were no more diet restrictions

pulsatile tinnitus
hi I’ve had pulsatile tinnitus for almost 2 years. It came on all of a sudden not long after I’d had covid and had been a bit unwell with migraine for a week or so. A nurse said I had an ear infection but antibiotics made no difference. I was quickly sent for an MRA which was clear. I also had an ENT

tinnitus on rapid head rotation
Does anyone else experience a sound/vibration when shaking their head quickly from side to side? What I hear is a vibration of frequency about E flat (about 610Hz)? I have recently had an attempt at micro suction to remove ear wax and this has only started since then and I am wondering whether there
