Hi I wondered if any of you have had micro bleeds in the brain and had to therefore come of warfarin? We’re you put on clexane/fragmin etc? How has that worked for you and what was ongoing treatment? Also have you flown ok post bleeds on a plane? TIA

Hi I had a big brain bleed 3.5 years ago, I was taken off warfarin and put on clexane. I’m still on clexane and haematologist has said will be long term. It’s a fine balancing act to keep you coagulated enough to not clot but not over coagulated so you have further bleeds. Hope this helps

I’ve not had a brain bleed on warfarin. I wish you the very best. Stay in close contact with a hematologist who has strong / heave case load of APS patients if possible.

Hi, many on here are on different medication to Warfarin, Fragmin or Clexane seems to be often prescribed and hopefully your main consultant will keep a very close eye on your new regime. I have had 3 brain bleeds after an accident, but am allowed to fly now, however I only go short haul, and that is my own preference and not too often. MaryF
