Mets shrinking
Went in for yearly bone scan. Mets on tail bone was not detectable and those on my spine have noticeably shrunk. I am on Lupron, Zytiga and workout 5 days a week. I have the BRCA2 disorder. While I will never be cured I find this very encouraging. My question is has anyone else had this kind of success

$790 For a 5-minute Video call? And Firmagon shortage?
My RO just sent his bill for a 5 minute video conference call he had with me to tell me something that could easily have been put in an email! $790 !!! So why are healthcare costs out of sight in the US??? Oh, and I just got a call telling me that Firmagon is in short supply and they have to delay

How long do flu symptoms last from Lupron?
It's been 24 hours since I got my first shot and over the past 3 hours I'm getting flu like symptoms, like fever, aches, and it feels like I've ran a 5K too. I know it's my body adjusting to this, I also know this isn't a one size fits all thing either. This sucks really bad but I've had worse and

Hello Gents. Since October 7th when I was given Eligard I have experienced severe constipation and elevated blood pressure (high 150-160). Previously I have taken Lupron every 3 months for the past 4 years. Realistically if Kaiser had reviewed my medical files prior to administering Eligard they would

Importance of Early Detection-Current Numbers
Early detection when the body is strong and the tumor burden is minimal are important in the treatment of genitourinary cancers! I make this statement as a man with a Gleason 7(4+3) at age 56; Stage 4 Metastatic PCa at 57; six month chemo - hormone therapy clinical trial with two different infusions

Nubeqa anyone?
Hi, I'm in Stage Four PC since 2013. Original PC diagnosis was Nov. 1999. I've been on Lupron for years with add-ons of Casodex, Xtandi and Zytiga. Presently on Zytiga (1000 mgs daily). Along the way I have had Brachi, Prevenge and some blind clinical trials. Here is my question: my MOC is thinking of

Message Message between Pinstripes and Everyone Hi EVERY ONE, I hope your keeping safe from the raging virus! I finished my radiation treatments and on September 1st did the bracny therapy. Surgery was very tough and painful! Since then I've been recovring from many side affects, especially fatigue

Average of 17mm follicles at time of trigger, success stories?? IVF
Hello, I have 13 follicles ranging between 13-20mm and am triggering tonight. Will the follicles continue to grow after triggering with Lupron and Novarel. Also~~ Are the follicles that are 13, 14, 15 and 16mm too small to produce mature eggs? Is there a chance of finding more eggs? Would love to

It's been a full week since my castration...and feeling GREAT.
My surgical orchidectomy was last Monday afternoon. In my attempt to keep everyone interested "posted" on my journey.... I have more energy than I have had in months(since before Radiation in Feb/Mar)....it might be because the weather has finally cooled down to the 70's and low 80's here in Ft. Lauderdale

Orchiectomy Nov 2 , its not that bad
After 7 months on monthly Eligard (same as Lupron), I got the snip yesterday. ADT with Zytiga and Prednisone. Longer duration Luprolide is even worse than the 1 month shot, so also no thanks. I decided shots for the rest of my life, no thanks. If Lupron was indeed the first medication in the world

Resetting the Bar of Castration Resistance - Understanding Androgen Dynamics in Therapy Resistance and Treatment Choice in PCa

Here they are in a paper - can a video be far behind? I think that the paper addresses some issues that have often been

Question about starting Abiraterone
I am going to be adding Abiraterone to my Lupron next week. MO says 4 - 30 mg pills. Should I start with all 4 a day or start with 1 then 2 etc. so my body gets use to it? Anybody tried this approach???? Thanks as always to all of you.

When to start xtandi after docetaxel?
Hello, wars. Father just finished 6 rounds of docetaxel, 9 Glisson, diagnosed in may 2020. Mets in the bones and spine. The original PSA was 135, now 0.7. Gets Lupron and Zometa. Should he start taking Xtandi now, or wait for the PSA to start rising? Opinions of different oncologists were divided. Thanks
