Yes, especially the first week or two after an injection. They seemed to be surreal, vivid, and durable, ie I could remember what I had dreamt later in the day.

Virus virus virus true. Bring vaccine. Thry due it with cancer meds, they can do it with Covid-19... i just test Covid-19(-) this Monday pre- umbilical hernia surgery. Fun fun in OR#21.

Yep, much improved Doug maybe. I had my umbilical hernia surgery this Thursday AM.

Facts: arrive 06:30 at my heart hospital now hernia hospital right across the road from our home. ck in not till 07:30 I'm getting hungery-er. 07:40 to pre-op prep and ck that i was alive, med ck's and BP high, wonder why, I'm inside my fav hospital. surgery scheduled for 09:30 wait wait and wait in uncomfortable bed. Anethesiologist saw me, my surgeon too. Went to OR#21, I don't know why #21 at 10:00, minor belly button surgery done in 17 min they told me. Post op recovery from 10:30 till discharge 12:50, home at 13:00. It was a success, taking extra strength Tylenol and so far 2 Hydrocodcone pills. My adhesive bandage patch half-way came loose from shower last eve. Will do the authorized outer adhesive bandage remove after todays shower before church tonight. Yes, I'm moving only minor soreness. I'm restricted to only walking till my post op surgeon visit Nov 18th. I'm really gonna try some casual treadmilling tonight at my fav Planet Fitness, that fits my walking criteria. Next week will be better and Halloween will be over tonight.

My incision white gauze piece is only 1.25" x 3" long. That adhesive dang bandage is pulling more than the inside hernia pain. Let the healing begin. Next Adv PCa IU Shelly and Schwarz Cancer Center appointment is Dec 17-18, IU North hospital Carmel, IN. I get next CT abs, pelvis, chest and NM bone scans then plus complete blood labs. PSA Sept 18th was 0.475...

Well buddy here’s hoping you heal quickly and move on past this lump of Schmitt in the road ... just “ regular “ stuff is plenty for any of us. Sounds like it went well, you should be back in the groove in no time. I hate it when this extra stuff plies on the already screwed mess ... its good to see it pass / resolved. Kripes ....

Your psa looks decent ... not that worried if that long of an interval between tests ...that’s a good sign too. ( every month for me ) things looking pretty good there heading into the holidays ... how good is that !!!

Well, not so fast Whimpy-p. I just wrapped up my 1st Fitness Planet W/O in a week. Yeh, Had to stop exercising last Mon to protect my COVID-19 ( - ) neg pre surg qualification test. No Social Fitness-ing or outside social grocery shopping till post hernia surg.

But, I did get in a 35 min Bike cycle w/o, and a 35 Treadmill session this AM. I'm allowed walking, treadmill slow pace, bike riding inside it's 40 degrees out. One thing it was tough, seeing the exercise babes at my go to fitness place, its been a week and they are still there. Incentive yeh, after ADT + abiraterone for 13 months guess it has not affected my female visual perspective.

I sure did with Lupron and another adt .. our heads spin with the dx .. then with double adt Whoohoo what a ride. Melatonin helps some. We face our demons and normally that’s ourselves or past baggage ..Exercise is the only universally accepted helper .. I had those crazy dreams my first few years during treatments.. It got better for me. Hopefully the same for hime . Losing testosterone is traumatic in ways known and unknown ..

I have had a few dream periods since starting Lupron. Very vivid and I would say they were just off, not weird or disturbing. The ones I remember best was when I added Zofran for radiation nausea, luckily I wasn't on it very long. I probably didn't need it in the first place.

Kevinski65 profile image

I just woke up from on at 130 am.

2dee profile image

Absolutely.

More importantly the dreams are very detailed and vivid.

I've been able to restart after bathroom duties every couple hours and been able to fully recall long after.

For a few I created book outlines in preparation of publishing.

Only my first one was a vivid nightmare. All others are reasonably pleasant experiences.

Been on ADT for about 2 1/2 years now and still have an occasional vivid dream though not as often. Just part of this chemical excursion I guess.

I dream vividly and violently every night. Never a fun dream. Would scare the crap out of Steven King. I also sleepwalk, sleepcrawl, sleeppunch, sleepjump etc. I have broken ribs hitting the dresser and many bruises including some on wife. Been on PCa drugs for 17 years....so weird dreams is a small price to pay for still being here.

Once upon a midnight dreary while I pondered weak and weary over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore while I nodded nearly napping suddenly there came a tapping .... it was my wife trying to wake me up and back off the napping ....yayahahahaya yayahahahaya.

Tarzan11, you may want to follow-up with a doctor about your REM Sleep Behavior Disorder symptoms. There might be something else happening medically, which you would want to know about, and there could be some other safeguards to take in the meantime. See also, e.g.,

Maybe write them down right away if possible. The craziness is just the language of symbols. And they are your symbols. May be trying to communicate something of value. Worth considering. Other times just craziness. Enjoy the show. 🎃🎃👻👻
