Early detection when the body is strong and the tumor burden is minimal are important in the treatment of genitourinary cancers! I make this statement as a man with a Gleason 7(4+3) at age 56; Stage 4 Metastatic PCa at 57; six month chemo - hormone therapy clinical trial with two different infusions and four different orals; able to stop Lupron injections at age 63; and today at 73 (16 1/2 years later) remain undetectable at <0.1 with a T of 625 with no medication nor supplements except 4 mg of Androgen twice a week to add testosterone as I lost the ability for my body to make its own. I have been most fortunate.
Glad to see you are running great numbers! Congratulations. One day at a time. Although different paths, we stay on top of the numbers. I hope you had a wonderful Sabbatical.
There is reason that I measure PSA and T quarterly. I was asked once, why not do annuals? Early detection to do something other than let the mutant cells grow. Really no problem to test every 90 days.
Your story is amazing .. You give hope to me and many others . I started #4 at 53 now 59 with some undetectable years .. it sure is nice to hear that you’ve been able to persevere for so long . I know it has not been without suffering . With only 3 T for five years now ,I sure would like some of androgen gel ? Thanks
