Time in a test tube
Gave up my G9 prostate to the robot in 2014. My PSA was 5. Level dropped to <0.1 until 2017 after it climbed to .23. ADT and prostate bed radiation brought the level down to <0.1 until a year ago. PSA jumped from .2 to .4 over a few months last summer. PSMA scan revealed two hot lump nodes last fall.

Decision time. Input welcome
Saw my MO yesterday. I need to make a decision by next week on how to proceed. Zytiga progress update
Hi following on from my earlier post I’m approaching the end of my forth week and I would say it is not that much different to Lupron except I find the fatigue and minor ache are more intense (both seem to come and go). My hip pain does seemed to have eased. I was give a full blood test at three weeks

Nubeqa and LDH level was high now normal
OK,I have been on Nubeqa 10 months Continuing on Lupron monthly. My choice to do monthly. Anyway my LDH level has been high, as high as 285. But yesterday it was 213 - normal. Any ideas on what this might mean?

Prostate Treatment Study - Effects on Exercise Performance
I thought some might be interested in this study that I volunteered for run by the VA and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. I got tested at baseline before treatment, at 3 months, and at 6 months. At all sessions there is a long questionnaire about mood, sexual satisfaction, sleep habits, etc. I

Post Brachy
Just a short note here for others anticipating this procedure. I recently finished 23 EBRT sessions, had a two week rest, and then the brachy. All done at University of Washington oncology cooperating with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. It was the typical surgery - "ok, take 5 deep breaths of oxygen

Micro-Mets Next Steps
Beloved, well-read, much-experienced cancer colleagues, My PSA has gone up quite slowly since being OFF all ADT since 2015-16 clinical trial on Lupron and Apaludimide (I had heart attack and a TIA then- my oncologist has not urged me to go back on ADT since). My PSA is now just under 2.7 but was 1.4

Orgovyx
Began Orgovyx about a month ago... PSA prior to taking it was 12.89 Got my labs at Emory yesterday and MO called me to report that PSA is now 0.39 after 28 days on it. Once a day...just Orgovyx. I wasn't embracing ADT as those I knew were getting Lupron shots combined with Zytiga and Prednisone...and

Experience with Aranesp (darbepoetin alfa) to improve HGB count
As many of us find, our HGB levels drop with the use of chemo drugs. In my case, Zytiga, Xtandi, and now Lynparza all seemed to contribute to my low HGB count (while continuing Lupron throughout). My HGB has been between 9.6 and 10.7 over the last 18 months, last reading 10.1. When my HGB dipped below

Why I feel alive...still
So far after the RP, the scans, the bloodwork, the Lupron shots and the Erleada, I'm one lucky man in that the PSA is undetectable, I appear to only have mild symptoms of the usual side effects and so without any real external identification, life goes on with full time work and readying for a vacation

My husband recently started Lupron and Casodex for stage 3b prostate cancer. Will begin 45 radiation treatments soon. Does anyone have any experience as to the effectiveness of this treatment and ..what has been your experience with side effects to the radiation treatment? Thank you.

Next Move
I've been on Lupron, Zytiga, Prednisone for 3 years now and it appears that it has run it's course. I am grateful that it has worked for this long, but it appears I will be needing to make a move to the next therapy. My PSA has gone from 14 to 71 over the last six months and ALP has jumped to 190 after
