Intense hip pain after eligard injection...bone flair?

Now that i have your attention...am 4.8 mos post dx and first lupron injection....i remmeber the bone pain flair few days after that....way intense but left after few days.....was exoected....this woke me up last nite 8 hrs or so after my 17th injection....i kinda looked around dont see reference to flare this fsr into treatment....thanks in advance b.w.

Flare is caused by the initial spurt of testosterone when first taking Eligard (or GnRH agonists like it). After a week or two, testosterone is suppressed, so there is no more flare.

Well actually you post says 4.8 months and I know it is 4.8 years right.You have been on Lupron/Eligard that whole time so the flare I "think" would have been when you first started 4.8 years ago.

Weird you got a flare now.

Correct...4.8 yrs....and i thought it wierd ....and awfull painfull...seems to have gone away....not going to dwell on it ....just part of the mind fk that comes with this dame.....i try sometimes to stay away from the group...but having ...a few thousand minds in this ship of fools..to bounce stuff off of is comforting if nothing else....also a demented form of entertainment......just mo

Your art work on bio...yours?....had / still have bose 901s...to macintosh tube amp...play phone through it...unbroken chain the cross fade....almostcas good as old koss headphones....

My artwork but kind of old. We moved a year and half ago and it was a "re-find".One is Jethro Tull the other is a self portrait but I didnt know it was a self portrait until years later.

You hit the nail on the head. unbroken chain is my favorite off that. Some would say its not a true GD sounding song but doesn't matter. I was occasionally eating some small pieces of paper when the album came out lol.

And yes that cross fade is still cool.

You still have the good stuff to listen to it on.

Lost my 1975 JBL studio monitors years ago but since we moved I have my eyes on finding some speakers to go with the 1970's Luxman amp and Sansui turntable I still have.

I have 1990's JBL tower speakers not bad but sold at Best Buy so JBL kind of lowered its standards to have a seller at best buy.

I run my laptop thru a 1990's Yamaha amp and those speakers.

I ran into a lot of good equipment back in the day that friends and acquaintances had.

MY brother had the jbl studios with orange waffle baffle ...had more high end than bose...

Youre right about the high end. Amp adjustments helped and the tweeters had the small screw adjustments.They were good for the Wishbone Ash Argus album with twin guitars.

And many other albums of course.

The 901's though cant be beat. Its almost like Bose didnt need to try to improve.

They nailed it the first time with the 901's ha.

Did you have bone metzs? If not? I’m thinking it’s joint pain (djd) and hopefully not pc at all . I ve had flairs of joint pains especially my left hip but no metzs . I used Lupron 18 months until an orchiectomy and I’m on a defunct adt test drug still to date ..7 yrs no. T has many depleting results . No pc seen is worth suffering . Pain is the enemy to Us all . Get better! 😎

Had 4...pelvic ramus....L456.....they have stopped doing the nasty....since 3 yrs ago...i had the flare up when starting HT...the pain.....shootme....i ve hurt before...but summin eating your bone...bullet does it quicker...so for now we ride......this last nit reminded me...might have been psycho shit....coming and going today......thanks be
