I don’t post often. I have been on Erleada, Lupron and Xgeva for over 4 years. I took a 3 month hiatus and saw my PSA go from 1.2 to 6.9.
I had my first PSMA PET scan. It showed mets to a number of areas on my skeleton. I started back up on my meds. About 2 weeks ago I started getting really dizzy. Vertigo was ruled out. I am having an MRI today of my brain. I doubt they find ANYTHING 😉.
Has anyone else on Erleada/apalutamide experienced any dizziness along with some nausea?
Thanks so much!

Hey MJCA! Hang n there Sir! Maybe drug combos contribute to this also? I did a test adt drug for seven years until recently . It made me nauseous and dizzy almost daily during this time . How did the mri go? I Hope good! 🙏
Apalutamide, like enzalutamide (Xtandi) crosses the blood brain barrier. Darolutamide (Nubeqa) does not. You might ask your doctor about switching over.
Crossing the BBB sounds risky. Is there a good reason to do this if an alternative is available ?
I've been on Lupron+Zytiga+Prednisone since November 2021. Had one dizzy spell in January, went to emergency room, many tests. Attributed to lack of hydration that morning. I had not been doing anything strenuous. But I did start drinking more water.Had another serious spell while playing golf in hot weather, almost passed out. But I just rested, hydrated, and rode the cart for rest of round.
Yes, not uncommon for some dizziness with Erleada along with stomach issues. I have been taking Erleada for 13 months and I have more stomach issues than dizziness. My PSA has been undetectable with 4 tablets daily, but I have cut back to 2 tablets due to my stomach. I do another test in October.
I've had dizziness and fainted once. My doctor was surprized at this. It is not a "know side effect". But I have heard several patients report dizziness. For me the issue lessened with time.
No dizziness, no nausea. Perhaps some very mild nausea from time to time. My oncologist prescribed Provigil to help with fatigue and concentration; I think it helps with the nausea too.
