Gum disease
I've been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis since the beginning of 2023, but I've had symptoms for probably a year or more before that. Only been taking methotrexate for 5 months. The last couple of visits to my dental hygienist have not been good at all. I'm being told I have gum disease with periodontal

PSA Risen in Last 6 months
Have been on here a week ago, explaining that my husband (who was diagnosed 10years ago) has now been diagnosed with Gastroporesis, so not eating much due to constant nausea and vomiting. We are due to see his Urologist in 2 weeks time, so had the dreaded PSA blood test. It had been almost undetectable

After bicalutimide and a high testosterone level is pre treatment T just guess work?
Just turning to fellow travellers on our various journeys for some input/advice/ thoughts as I make a decision on how far to push to the SOC for my high risk G9, given my oncologist is saying 15 months adjuvant (I am nervous of anything less than 18 months) is enough given my co morbidities, age at 73

PSA Rising
Asking for a friend of my father this time. He had surgery in december 2022 and everything was removed including glands. Gleason 4+5. His PSA has risen från 0.1 to 0.14 in 12 months. His doctor says to do nothing until it hits 0.2. But shouldn’t he do more? Maybe he doesn’t have advanced cancer yet.

Any Curative Treatments after RT as Sole Primary Treatment?
I see stories about RT as a treatment after RP with BCR, but don't see much when RT has been sole treatment. (See Bio-not even any ADT). PSMA-PET is clear currently, so no target for radiation. PSA has been rising, but not officially nadir plus 2, but the old 3 rises in a row has been reached. If there

MSK Consult Today
Thanks to everyone who has given me excellent advice regarding my husband’s pca recurrence. Today we met with an MSK uro oncologist for a second opinion. He completely agreed and supported the plan of radiating the high pelvic nodes (including the lower abdominal nodes along the bifurcation) and slightly

Do I need an Oncologist?
Originally had PSA test that came back 28+ and was referred to Urologist. I was not interested in Surgery so the Urologist referred me to a Radiation Oncologist. After the radiation treatments were over I went back to the Urologist to continue the Lupron treatments. My last visit with the Radiation Team

PSA test at a different lab
I will be spending the winter in Florida. I have always had my PSA tested in Boston at the same medical facility for the last 7 years. In a perfect world I would travel back to Boston for a few day. Any feedback would be appreciated Thanks

How bad are these PSMA Pet Scan Results?
My second post. Just got my PSMA results back. 48 years old. PSA is 100. 12 Biopsies all show cancer. Mostly 4+3's two of them 4+4's.What do you think ? My appointment with MO is not till Wednesday. What do think he will offer as treatment method ? I'm just worried and concerned.

Gleason 9, s/practice RP. PSA UP to 0.2 8 months later. PSMA showed 4 hot spots all in pelvis. Started on zytiga and lupron same time as radiation started. PSA has remained < 0.04 for 17 months now. Considering the aggressive nature of my cancer, should I insist on a scan even when PSA <0.04 or

PSA Rising and MRI Negative
My husband PSA has been rising after Prostatectomy. A recent PET Scan showed cancer cells in the Prostate bed, but the MRI didn't pick-up any disease. The Oncologist is checking labs, and will start my husband on HT.Question for the group. Why would PET scan pick-up cancer cells, and not the MRI?

Update Castrate Resistant Metastatic Cancer
My metastatic prostate cancer was diagnosed castrate resistant on November 1 with PSA of 0.8, which was doubling in about two months while on Lupron. On November 10 I started Abiraterone + prednisone. By December 1 my PSA dropped to 0.44 in 22 days on Abiraterone. In the next 35 days it went down to

New Developments in My Husband's PCA Journey
Hello, I wanted to provide an update on my husband's progression and, hopefully, some of you may have some knowledge to share or have a similar profile. His psa has risen from <0.04 since RP for Stage 3b to 0.06 in 9/23. A recheck a week later showed a rise to 0.1. This was followed by a drop to <.04

Actium 225 after Pluvicto
I have had 6 infusions of Pluvicto, the final one being in March. Initially the results were good with a significant decrease in PSA. Over the past several months my PSA is rising and a recent PSMA scan has shown some spreading of the cancer. I am interested in Actium 225, but am unsure if I can take

PSA suppression
My PSA lows tend to be around 3.3, and it occurs to me that some might think it odd that I don't drive it lower. I think it is very common for men on ADT to draw too much comfort from a significant PSA reduction, if not a near-zero PSA. I have witnessed men misinterpret a dramatic drop in PSA as
