PSA test at a different lab

I will be spending the winter in Florida. I have always had my PSA tested in Boston at the same medical facility for the last 7 years. In a perfect world I would travel back to Boston for a few day. Any feedback would be appreciated

Thanks

I am being treated at DF in Boston, but also use Labcorp, the National Chain, who actually tests to much lower levels, and last mont( I was <.006

I also use Labcorp. They fax the results to my urologist in another city. I also have the Labcorp portal and usually can see the results in a day or 2.

I use Quest, which seems to measure in hundreths. Quest has a great web site where you get your own results usually within 24 hours.

have used both LabCorp and Quest while traveling in US. Always made an appointment and created account so we could get the results as well since they do not come up on your electronic record from your home medical system

make sure you have adequate printed lab orders: lab tests, FAX # for results, Dr Name, address and phone number. ** Also have providers NPI available- just in case. Once had orders submitted by the NP working with the MO and he wasn’t in the labs national database. Would not draw labs until they got that information. Took over an hour to get that one piece of information.

Happy travels!

Invite the staff from Boston down to Florida. They'll probably would prefer the warm weather........Just tell them you're a new illegal alien and that all costs are being paid by the U.S. Government.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
