No new lesions or activity on MRI!
My neuro's nurse called yesterday to give me the news! Very happy about that :) I will see him in Feb. So far I am doing good with not taking the tizanidine as he ordered me not to take and taking the 10mg baclofen every 3 hours instead of every 2. Somehow last night, I forgot to take my meds and when

New Neuro update
Saw my new Neuro Monday. He is a nice guy and very knowledgable. He didn't like that my last neuro had me taking 10mg of Baclofen every 2 hours, he told me to try and stretch it to 3 hours, which so far I have been able to do. He took me off of Tizanidine as I take 200mg of Tegretol at night. He said

Neurology and orthotic appointment
I had a neurology and orthotic appointment last week. I have had ongoing problems with spasms, especially at night. Also, my muscle tone is slowing down the healing process of my ankle. After a full neurological assessment, my consultant suggested that I keep taking the baclofen and tizanidine. Tizanidine

Muscle spasms and walking
Is any one of you helped with walking by decreasing your muscle spasms with muscle relaxers? Muscle relaxers always make me drowsy, and though the tizanidine I use now doesn't make me drowsy for long, I am loathe to take it during the day. However, recently the muscle spasms that make it harder to walk

More spasms with Tegretol?
It seems since I started Tegretol last week to help with the spams, they have been more frequent than less...opposite of what it is supposed to do. I take this in addition to my baclofin and & Tizanidine. I tried to look online to see if this is possible but I can't find anything that says it causes

Struggling with Returning Persistent Neuropathic Pain and Spasms.
Last month, I met a specialist in physical medicine to address my unrelenting neuropathic pain and spasms as baclofen was no longer responding. I was prescribed Tizanidine (4mg) for spasms which initially did quiet my feet jerking at night. (I will note here that I am also being treated for insomnia

A New Way
Looking for new ways to be active?! A person who ran, hiked, and biked many miles! No more running but frequent walks- I am looking for a handle or a new idea for my dogs leash as it is hard on my hands, wrists and shoulders. Leaving Toby at home is not an option! I can still bike and boyfriend made

Changing the timing of your med intake.
When I went to the dr in Sept I was telling her how I would wake up stiff in the morning and I would have a hard time getting started in the morning but by the afternoon I was limber. I told her I took my meds at 5am. 1pm and 8pm. She told my the meds at 8pm are out of my system by the time I wake

Daily muscle relaxer
Does anyone else need a daily/nightly muscle relaxer? I would love to stop but it doesn't seem possible right now. My rheumatologist switched me from Flexeril to Tizanidine (Zanaflex), nightly. Does anyone have an opinion on which has the least side effects for long term use? I do have a sub-set of

Found a bit of relief from glaucoma drops!?!
So I've had chronic daily migraine for the past 3 years. They're always on the left side of my face from my eyeball all the way down to the base of my neck. Current treatment: botox, tizanidine, midrin, norco, cambia, tea tree oil, cold gel packs, promethazine. I switch up my rescue meds when I take

Hello, I've been on this site just reading posts for a long time now. I've never posted anything as I have so many issues and don't know how or where to begin. My Myelopathy: A long journey…destination unknown
Research is increasingly demonstrating the importance of early diagnosis, and treatment as appropriate, of CSM and CDM. I am sharing my journey to show how easy it is to ignore early symptoms and how difficult it can also be for doctors and other clinicians to suspect this condition as a diagnosis.
