My neuro's nurse called yesterday to give me the news! Very happy about that I will see him in Feb. So far I am doing good with not taking the tizanidine as he ordered me not to take and taking the 10mg baclofen every 3 hours instead of every 2.
Somehow last night, I forgot to take my meds and when my dog woke me up at 2am to go outside, I had the worst migraine and I couldn't figure out why...until I went to take my morning meds and noticed I had not taken last nights. YIKES! I took those meds and within an hour or so I was starting to feel better. Problem solved as to why I was hurting so bad.
That's all for now...except that it's really cold out today. 34 degrees feels like 25 degrees. You can feel it as soon as you open the door. No sun for the last couple of days. So, blah, outside.

Yay on the good news!! Yep, once our bodies are used to our meds regime, they tell us when we forget a dose. My legs will wake me up at night & they are screaming in agony until the hubbs massages them with a magnesium cream. I have made myself a little dosage guide and coordinate with my cell phone alarms and it keep me pretty much on schedule. Thankfully, I have only had onr true migraine that lasted 2 days..doc gave me a shot of something told me to drive straight home, then call work to say I'd be out for a few days. I don't remember what the injection was, but I slept for 18 hours afterward. Stay warm, sounds bone chilling weather!!
I once had migraines due to a med that sent me to the ER twice. After the second time I was told by someone there that if I have another one (which my med was changed so I didn't have to try it) but he said what they injected me with was basically a combination of Tylenol, Benadryl and a Coke so he said to do that. I've always remembered that because I thought that was so handy!
I've heard a combo of otc pain medicine with caffeine, and something helps people with migraines. Just thought it was weird that I hadn't had one in a year and all of a sudden one came on. And here it was missing my meds. Hope that never happens again.
I also heard the caffeine in a coke is good. Like all "Upper" drinks like coke or Mountain Dew are good because of the heart beating faster, it pumps more blood through the brain to open the veins & decrease the headache. (Just a lay person's opinion)🙂 Before MS, Iwas a long distance bicycle rider,🚴♀️🚴♀️ riding 200-300 miles a week. If I got a bad headache, a diet Mountain Dew & a snickers bar stopped the headache and I could ride another 50 miles.🙂🚴♀️🚴♀️
Great news, that will keep you smiling for a while. As for the weather, we hit 21*f the other night, it was cold, but we haven’t had rain for 3 whole days , I won’t hold my breath , Blessings Jimeka 👍
Don't you love good news??? Way to go bxrmom !! And are you sure it wasn't the dog that gave you the migraine? 2am? My butt!😂 Go out your da* self!🤣 joking!! Ugh for those headaches. I'm so glad that it went away after you took your meds!🤗💕🎄
My dog goes through these fazes where she needs to go out in the middle of the night for some reason. Not sure why, but that was one of those days Usually, her last time out is midnight, then she doesn't want to go back out until about 8-8:30am. I'm usually awake by that time because it's time for my medicine. Then we go back to bed for a couple of hours or so.
Wonderful news boxrmom! I just got same results from MRI and will see neurologist in January! I use bright lights for several hours to cheer my brain with happy warm sunny feelings when I can't get outside. Blessings Cynthia
