Alternative Dosing Schedule for Ibrance
I happened upon this clinical trial they are doing for the 5/2 dosing and it mentioned some things I've never heard before about WHY this may be more effective in stopping
neutropenia
, hope I spelled that right!

VERU Inc.
In the preclinical toxicology studies, VERU-111, at oral doses that had significant antitumor effects, did not result in
neutropenia
or myelosuppression, common dose limiting side effects of other antitubulins including intravenous taxanes or intravenous vinca alkaloids.

Link between neutropenia and hypothyroidism
Hi, I've just been told I have
neutropenia
I.e. low white cell count by my GP. Anyone know if there is a link between that and an underactive thyroid?

Coming out of the shadows
I feel like Ibrance is a lifeline and although I have had
neutropenia
a few times I have had very few side effects. My biggest concern is how long will I be able to stay on this miracle drug and then what happens. I find that the information that my oncologist gives me is a bit vague on the future.

A year into MBC to Bones
I've struggled with
neutropenia
and am now on the lowest strength of Ibrance (75mg). My last blood work again showed mild
neutropenia
. My oncologist says this happens usually after a year on Ibrance. I'm now worried about what will happen if I can't take the Ibrance due to
neutropenia
.

Docetaxel + Androgen-Deprivation Therapy in Patients With High-Risk PCa & Rising PSA - no mets.
The most common grade 3 or 4 hematologic toxic effects in the ADT plus docetaxel arm were
neutropenia
(60 of 125 patients [48.0%]), febrile
neutropenia
(10 [8.0%]), and thrombocytopenia (4 [3.0%]). There was no significant between-arm difference in overall quality of life.

So fed up being undiagnosed! What is going on with me?
However, throughout these 2 years, I have had elevated antibodies (current results: T4 16.9, T3 5.0, TSH 1.82, Anti-thyroid peroxidase 205 & anti-thyroglobulin 364, ref range below 60 in both, elevated liver levels and mild
neutropenia
).Recently, my hair has been falling off a lot.

Travel while in Nadir
Any recommendations about traveling while in chemo nadir (
neutropenia
)? The obvious is avoid large crowds and those who may be ill.

Neutropenia with Ibrutinib
Husband becoming neutropenic after 2 years on Ibrutinib. Maybe he will be forced to quit treatment if he can’t take it anymore because of that. Is there any other options?
