Burning Thigh that some of us get, with GCA and PMR, or meralgia paresthetica
Hi, I was newly diagnosed with GCA in May, 2012. I was earlier diagnosed with "burning thigh" or meralgia paresthetica and had a nerve release in 2007. This may help those who aren't sure about their other symptoms. I also had to go to several experts on this, and waited about a year (a year of pain

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension is it a heart or lung problem or both?
I got my letter to my doctor from the Lung consultant at the hospital today. I now have an extra ailment to add! Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension: It appears that it should be 25mmHg but mine is 37 to 42 mmHg and his comments are " This could be one of the reasons I am out of breath?" I apparently

Effort Rewarded
I have a choice. I can stay in and resort to head banging or I can go to the Library with man and a backpack. I opt for an outing as a distraction for tooth ache of the spine. Working on my time tested theory that "Any effort is always rewarded". One way or another. We park up and walk along the canal

A few facts about Alpha Lipoic Acid, the universal antioxidant .
It is a fatty acid and found naturally inside every cell in the body.It is needed by the body to produce energy for our body's normal function. ALA or Alpha Lipoic Acid (please do not confuse with Alpha Linolenic Acid, precursor of omega3, also known as ALA ) is a very potent antioxidant and works both

Have any experience about Cold Laser Therapy?
A member is considering using Cold Laser Therapy (LLLT) for treating neuropathy in AMN, as it is believed it used for other peripheral
neuropathies
. She is naturally being cautious, though her chiropractor is optimistic.

RLS, anti d`s and Me!
I thought I would write a bit of a blog about my recent events, in the hope it may help someone else. Last year I started taking cipralex (ssri). I really needed it at the time and now realise i have a long term depressive problem. It made me so much better, and I began to feel the way I`ve always thought

What therapy if no signs of psychological problem ?
Hi everybody ! I’m new here. I’m not sure whether I’ve got FND or not. Neurologists say yes, and psychiatrists reply I’ve not psych problem. And my GP is perplexed. Apparently, it often happens, and the diagnosis of FND can be made without psychiatric/psychological triggers, nor a defined trauma or stressing

THE MOST CONVINCING TREATMENT (SO FAR) AS REMEDY AND RELIEF FOR SEVERE DIABETIC PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY.
As a sufferer from a severe form of Diabetic Neuropathy for the last three years, I have sought relief from the bearable to intense unbearable pain from Allopathy, Homeopathy, Ayurvedic, Unani and other forms of alternative medicines. None of which have been satisfactory so far. At last, I seem to have
