O.K, so after, the disaster of lst testing with medichecks...what is the process with abstaining from tablets, vitamins etc before testing. Thyroid ultra vit check results - I would be so grateful of any help or advice
I am really hoping that someone can help me and advise me as I am very unwell more than I am well-ish. I do understand that sufferers of Hashimotos will never feel as well as they used to, but my life is so dominated by symptoms that make leading a normal life impossible. I have had an all too common

Help with adding T3
Hi, I've recently posted about needing some help with deciding on which blood test to go for, and then help with adding T3 to my usual levothyroxine. I have been on 125mcg of levothyroxine for the past 12 months, I get a B12 injection every 3 months, take ferrous fumarate 48mg daily, folic acid 100ug

Hydroxocobalamin injection frequency, and are patches a recommended/viable addition to my needs? Your recommendations, sources, experiences?
Hi all, I am B12 deficient (which was initially suspected in December 2018, following declining health), with prior 6 month history of worsening peripheral neuropathy, worsening exercise intolerance, syncope and frequent pre-syncope and long standing (at least until I started on B12 replacement in December

Why won't the NHS give me an iron infusion?
Had anybody managed to get an iron infusion on the NHS? My ferritin level is 6. The GP had requested an infusion from haematology. They have denied it saying that it is inherently dangerous and I just have to take tablets. Problem is, I've taken 200mg x 3 /day of ferrous sulphate previously for months

best ferritin supplement?
Well, after a sleep study & associated labs, I'm told my ferritin is 55 (range 20-228) and the doctor wants it to be at least 70. (Thyroid & all other numbers look good, however.) The nurse in the office called and recommended ferrous sulfate 325 MG, 2x day, and warned me that it causes constipation

Pale face
Hi, I had a HA nearly four weeks ago. Just before discharge I was told that I was anaemic after having to take naproxen and codeine nine weeks previously post operatively after a shoulder reconstruction. GP put me onto 200mg of ferrous sulphate twice a day. And yet, even after four weeks I am still

Can't increase ferritin
Hi, previously I found out I was anaemic, low b12, low vitamin d, low magnesium, low ferritin. Suspected subclinical hypothyroidism. I took supplements and everything (apart from vit d) went up, with heamocrit at 38% But my ferritin has gone down from 25 to 21 The iron I was taking is bioheme (Iron glycinate

Suffering
I graduated with a masters degree and started my new career only to end up right smack in the middle of a
nervous
breakdown
. I’m currently home trying to get the panic under control with medication, but I feel like my whole life is coming to an end. I have no joy any more. Nothing but pain.

Quit telling me how strong and brave I am
I sometimes fear I’m having a
nervous
breakdown
. I feel like people aren’t taking my concerns seriously enough. I need help! Can’t we please stop the downward trajectory I’m on NOW, before it gets worse?

Everything
This anxiety is making me think I’m having a
nervous
breakdown
. And I need some real, concrete solutions to my problems. I *need* a job. I need to know for sure that my bf is serious about us trying again.

I think I had a nervous breakdown this week
I need to feel OK talking about it. I felt terrible every single morning, and I finally broke down and took some Ativan today. My doctor wants me to use it sparingly because it can be addictive. But after the way I felt all week, I’d rather have an addiction than feel this way. I can’t concentrate
