Blood test
Got an app at the Dr's this aft due to a TSH test of 4.1, hopefully he will listen to me even though I was told that no further action was needed, I was advised by people on here to go and have a chat about it, so I guess it's watch this space, also while I'm writing, what is Ferrous fumarate I've seen

Can this be bought over the counter in a chemist or does it need to be prescribed?

Iron Tests - Feedback Request
Have been taking 2 x 65mg Ferrous Fumarate with Vitamin C daily since November 2018, say 7 months. Unfortunately the tests are carried out from different labs in different countries that use different ref ranges. The iron doesn’t appear to be substantially improved ? Please let me have your feedback

Jet Lag-Related Anxiety
Last time I had jet lag, I had a
nervous
breakdown
. For some reason, my sleep schedule being out of whack had some effects on the way my mind was working. Anyone else have this experience? Does anyone know of any good remedies for treating jet lag or jet lag-induced anxiety?

Looking for a job
. 🤦♀️ I’m 32 and I was back in school late last year working towards an associate degree but I basically had a
nervous
breakdown
. I always compare myself to others my age and I feel so behind. I’m trying to work on my outlook about that and think of this as an opportunity to develop new skills...

My rls has been controlled the last few months but lately its getting so much worse. I take the lowest dose of pramipexole but also take 1800mg gabapentin and co codamol for chronic back pain. My rls is affecting me alot during the day even tho i have stopped having sugar which normally helps. I am wondering

Low Iron - Are my symptoms normal?
From the end of November last year, until the first week of January this year I was experiencing a weird feeling of dizziness, and generally feeling ‘out of it’. I went to my doctor, and they diagnosed an inner ear infection as they weren’t 100% sure, which required no treatment. My symptoms disappeared

MCV increasing / folate levels
Just a quick question. When my daughter was first diagnosed with vit b deficiency her MCV was 92.5. She has been on every other day injections for a few months but it has risen to 94.8 - should it not have decreased ? Her ferritin was also low so is it just that low iron was masking the result to start

Thyroid ultra vit check results - I would be so grateful of any help or advice
I am really hoping that someone can help me and advise me as I am very unwell more than I am well-ish. I do understand that sufferers of Hashimotos will never feel as well as they used to, but my life is so dominated by symptoms that make leading a normal life impossible. I have had an all too common

Hydroxocobalamin injection frequency, and are patches a recommended/viable addition to my needs? Your recommendations, sources, experiences?
Hi all, I am B12 deficient (which was initially suspected in December 2018, following declining health), with prior 6 month history of worsening peripheral neuropathy, worsening exercise intolerance, syncope and frequent pre-syncope and long standing (at least until I started on B12 replacement in December

Why won't the NHS give me an iron infusion?
Had anybody managed to get an iron infusion on the NHS? My ferritin level is 6. The GP had requested an infusion from haematology. They have denied it saying that it is inherently dangerous and I just have to take tablets. Problem is, I've taken 200mg x 3 /day of ferrous sulphate previously for months

best ferritin supplement?
Well, after a sleep study & associated labs, I'm told my ferritin is 55 (range 20-228) and the doctor wants it to be at least 70. (Thyroid & all other numbers look good, however.) The nurse in the office called and recommended ferrous sulfate 325 MG, 2x day, and warned me that it causes constipation

Pale face
Hi, I had a HA nearly four weeks ago. Just before discharge I was told that I was anaemic after having to take naproxen and codeine nine weeks previously post operatively after a shoulder reconstruction. GP put me onto 200mg of ferrous sulphate twice a day. And yet, even after four weeks I am still

Can't increase ferritin
Hi, previously I found out I was anaemic, low b12, low vitamin d, low magnesium, low ferritin. Suspected subclinical hypothyroidism. I took supplements and everything (apart from vit d) went up, with heamocrit at 38% But my ferritin has gone down from 25 to 21 The iron I was taking is bioheme (Iron glycinate
