Hi, all. Last time I had jet lag, I had a nervous breakdown. For some reason, my sleep schedule being out of whack had some effects on the way my mind was working. Anyone else have this experience? Does anyone know of any good remedies for treating jet lag or jet lag-induced anxiety?

I struggle a lot after being overseas jet lag really affects my anxiety and moods so much..I allow a couple of weeks of rest when I return to get over it...I once watched a programme on tv about Stephen fry his psychiatrist mentioned his travel, as he travelled a lot and the psychiatrist mentioned he should cut down his travel as it doesn’t help mental health ....I never new that until I watched that programme and I always thought I struggled much more than most people do, it really floors me..
I’m sorry I’m not sure of the answers to it, but I guess the usual is to drink plenty of water and rest ...I don’t go over seas as often now but I do go usually once a year as I have close family there....
Best wishes x
I have read that using melatonin can help with jet lag... maybe look it up and see if it sounds right for you?
