Hello ladies

Hope you are all doing well. As some of you might know that I'm pregnant and looking to buy TENS machine to use during labour as have heard that it's a good natural pain relief. But not sure which brands are good to buy so looking for help if anyone has used it before then please please let me know about it.

Wish you all very best in your journey. God bless you all xxx

I had borrowed one from my step sister for my first birth and I don't think I could have done without it!! Cannot remember the make but I think they all work in a very similar way so no need to buy the most expensive one. I am planning on using one again this time round but think I will just hire one out which you can do as well. Good luck x

Mine was an Obi tens machine. I would recommend it but I’m sure others are also good. Look out for one that has the ‘boost’ function that you use when having a contraction.

Like Yellow85 said, you can hire them if you don’t want to buy one.

Your local NCT might have some or be able to direct you in the right direction. X

I think both Boots and Mothercare have rental services online although obviously as I bought mine I never used these services 😊

Hi I hired one from boots with my first ( not sure if they still do it was 17 years ago !) But I hated it !you had to position the pads in an exact spot to make a difference in labour but I just found it annoying! Maybe look online to see if someone is selling a second hand one or hire personally I wouldn't buy a full price one hope this helps and you have a good birth whatever you decide 😊
