Stopped Solifenacin
Because of constipation side effect which was very unpleasant. Decided to come off Solifenacin. With my GP agreeing. Two weeks in and the withdrawal symptoms have been awful. Worst of all the pressure of wanting to pee all the time is worse than when I first started them. My GP has said she will

Never Ending
I was only diagnosed a week ago, after a weekend of being in AFib, went to the ER. Confirmed. It's been non stop ever since. I am now on Xarelto and Metoprolol 50 x2 a day. NO relief. Most of my ECG readings show heart rate around 130-140. BP mostly ok--a bit high, but not awful. I find myself

AF taking a different direction??
Had an AF attack yesterday and it was terminated after 3 hours with my PIP 200 mg Flecainide and half a metoprolol tablet. This is about average and I have attacks every 7 to 10 days. After a few hours rest I went for a walk but didn’t feel great, lethargic and generally off par. I kept checking my apple

Symptom changes
I would be interested to see if any one has experienced symptom changes from when they first had/diagnosed with RLS . Initially, my RLS was the classic, constantly having to move my legs during the night while sleeping or resting. Even sitting in a chair, for long periods of time ( aeroplane, cinema)

Should I switch from Riveroxaban to Apixaban?
I'm a 64 yr old male and have paroxysmal AF. 3 years ago my cardiologist put me on Riveroxaban as well as Flecainide.I have not had any issues with Riveroxaban but seeing all the comments,I was wondering whether I should switch to Apixaban given that it is better for gastric bleeding.

update after fourth ablation
Appointment with EP yesterday gave the thumbs up to cut out the flecainide. Not needed as have not had any blips since a quick reset (cardioversion) in April after the fourth ablation in March. Besides, the flecainide is causing wide qrs so it’s becoming more problematic than helping. Anyone had problems

Happy 2023, bravehearts! A question on vagus nerve involvement....
I know there's massive hype out there about the vagus nerve and the treatment of any number of ills through vagus stimulation and care. Nevertheless........Was wondering if anyone's had any success with one of those wearable devices for VNS and if, at this very early stage of AFib - diagnosed as Paroxysmal

It’s Sunday we received an inch or so of snow ❄️ still chilly 🥶 but that’s normal for January. Did get dusting and vacuuming done yesterday but didn’t make it to store. PT left me tens unit that is used for arm and neck for weekend. I text her and got ok to use on ankle and instructions. It seemed to

Well Woman physio
Well had an appt with a private physio, who is so well experienced in womens troubles. So wish I had visited her before going on these tablets. They have not been good for me. She has given me hope for no surgery. The last months have been awful. But she has written to my GP saying estrogen cream

Pain relief failing - Help!
Hi, I’m new here but it’s been really interesting to read everyone’s posts and know I’m not going through it alone. I had a laparoscopy last June where they excised endometriosis from my pouch of Douglas. I was in agony before, so much so I had to take weeks off work (I’m a primary school teacher)

Vagus nerve stimulation Possible future treatment.

A long post - How medication was ruining my life, not making me better! Reassurance for anyone concerned about stopping medication.
Hi ladies. A very Happy New Year to you all! I am hoping that 2023 treats you all with improved health and a wealth of happiness. I have seen a lot of posts recently appearing on my feed regarding treatments and hormones, and so I just wanted to share my recent experience of stopping all treatments.
