Hi, tried to wheen myself off Pred after 16 years of taking them. Got down to 2mg but have recently found all the old symptoms returning, ie shoulder, hip, knee pains. My ESR yesterday was 18mm at age 72. GP has given me 2 packs of 5mg and has told me in the past ( on my recommendation ) that the best

Still in flair after 2 weeks on 15 mg?
Hello, fellow sufferer! I need some advice. After 5 years with PMR plus other issues, was doing “OK” on 12.5 mg of prednisolone and 20 mg of MTX. Then I had a severe flare-up this summer after a period of too much physical activity and even a shorter vacation. All the classic symptoms hit me: joint and

Omeprazole and Prednisolone
Hi everyone, newbie here. I'm not comfortable with taking Omeprazole to 'protect my stomach' while taking prednisolone. Obviously I don't want to develop ulcers, but is this stuff really necessary. I'm on 13.5 mg of Pred at the moment. Thanks.

To accept flu and covid jabs invite?
Always had all my flu and covid jabs with no issue. Actually had both the same day in September 23 whilst suffering with PMR but not diagnosed or medicated. Had my first shingles vaccination March this year after being on prednisolone for 2 months (on 10mg I think ) I had read so many posts about PMR

Expected new diagnosis of Myositis and my concerns
I know pretty much most of this is in my Bio and is just a copy paste to introduce myself. Can be scary when you have been a relatively healthy person all your life and a Doctor tells you you "have" something with a name. I am a 50yr old male and I have been suffering from muscle spasms for approximately
