End of Life Memories
Mum was diagnosed in 2017 at decompensated stage of
NASH
Cirrhosis of the Liver after being admitted with ascites. In November last year she was admitted to hospital with a variceal bleed, ascites and HE, and now in the final months of her life she wanted to be cared for at home.

Ever since I began experiencing pain, I realized something was wrong, and I have since (6 weeks) been on a strict diet

Any positive experiences with TIPSS
I am 42 years old in the US and have had my
NASH

Moderate Fatty Liver with normal liver enzymes
Fibrosis bloodwork came back as high and in category F1-F2 w no
NASH
. Went to a hepatologist and she did a fibroscan. It came back moderately fatty, but enzymes remain normal (AST 16, ALT 15). I don’t have high cholesterol or diabetes.

Recurring fever?
I have cirrhosis caused by
NASH
, and my temperature has been going up to between 38C and 38.4C several times a week (if not daily!) since around 2015, and I’ve had every test under the sun, but they’ve never found a cause and eventually just put it down to ‘fever of unknown origin’.
