I wasn’t a big alcohol drinking, mostly wine & occasionally beer, before my
NASH
diagnosis so cutting out alcohol wasn’t difficult. Yet sometimes water, coffee and tea just don’t cut it especially on special occasions.

just wondering
just wondering If Cirrhosis secondary to
NASH
with portal hypertension is de compensated or compensated I understand that varices and Ascites are normally present with de compensated but does having the portal hypertension make a difference ?

So much confusion so much pain
The doctors thought it was sudden on set sever
nash
from massive weight loss. In July of 2021 we returned to Canada. And things went sideways. She went to a hospital. A doctor misread her biopsys which said F1-F2 Fibrosis. And wrote in Biopsys confirmed cirhosis.

Its now seven months since I lost my Mum to
NASH
Cirrhosis Liver Disease and this month I have done something positive in writing a document to feedback to the medical teams that looked after my mum through her illness. I have found it hard to write but also it has helped with my own grief.

I also have heart failure,
NASH
, pancreatic insufficiency, COPD, Bipolar, depression, anxiety, ect. I am a mess and it’s hard to stay positive when your body wants to stay in bed. I do not like my gi Dr. And think she’s pulling at straws.

Good news for me…at least I think so.
I got the results of my Liver Biopsy and it revealed mild
NASH
with stage 1 fibrosis. I was scared of possible cirrhosis because my fibroscan showed S3/F4. So my biopsy had better news in my opinion. All I really need to do now is eat healthier and exercise.

Resolved NAFLD / NASH in 6 months!
My consultant advised me that my NAFLD /
NASH
is now resolved with no further follow ups required. Although I was hoping for an improvement, I honestly wasn’t expecting such a massive difference.

I was diagnosed with nafl and
nash
in 2020. My cap was 320 and Koa was 7.2. 8 months later those numbers came down to 175 and 6.1 with 49 pounds weight loss and much better diet. Jump to a year later I had gained some weight back about 15 pounds and was not eating good as i should.

Mitochondrial Protections from Exercise (Part Ib)
There have been very many studies published on the effects of exercise, especially of endurance/aerobic exercise, in restoring the number, the quality and the activity of mitochondria, both in the skeletal muscles, the heart and in the brain neurons. As these are our highest energy demanding tissues

Amusing quotes about getting old.
~Ogden
Nash
Old age isn’t so bad when you consider the alternative. ~Maurice Chevalier You know you’re getting old when you get that one candle on the cake. It’s like, “See if you can blow this out.” ~Jerry Seinfeld Regular naps prevent old age, especially if you take them while driving.
