I was having tests for inoperable severe stenosis in brain rMCA when my 74 year old wife had a gallbladder attack. During surgery to remove her gallbladder the surgeon noticed a largely shriveled up grey liver and took a biopsy. Diagnosis was Stage4 Nash Cirrhosis of the liver. We are struggling with acceptable diet choices. Any suggestions on where we can see suggested diet items? Thx

Sorry to hear. First order of business let's start with what to eliminate from your diet - eliminate ALL sugar from your diet. Zero added sugar. Read every label. Next order of business - eliminate Red meat completely. Ok next - eliminate ALL processed foods. Eliminate bad carbs (anything white - white pasta, white bread, etc). Limit or eliminate alcohol. I like to have red wine every now and then. Now what to load up on.... Breakfast - whole grain oats, fresh organic fruit, eggs (in moderation). Lunch - buy a nutribullet and make fresh smoothies - i put Kale, unsweetened almond milk, half a banana, a few berries, a scoop of Green Vibrance, and turmeric (for anti inflammatory). Dinner - any variety of veggies, beans, fish, chicken (organic only), whole grain rice, or quinoa. Dessert, i stick with nuts, seeds, maybe a small piece of dark chocolate (must be all natural), yogurt (no sugar added). I also load up on coffee (3-4 cups), olive oil (drizzle it over everything), and green/black tea. It may sound radical but it really isn't. You can easily follow a diet like this as long as you plan ahead.
That's about the age I was diagnosed. I'm 80 now. Here is a link to the Foundation's approach to food.
