Fatty Liver -Pain
I think it may have moved to
NASH
and possibly fibrosis or cirrhosis (nothing has confirmed that officially yet). I had a blood test and the doctor said that the liver function number was raised more so than usual. It has always been high since having NAFLD.

Finally, we may have found the smoking gun.
And was, in fact,
NASH
with Grade 1 fibrosis. Still,
NASH
was a surprise, as Magaret was a nondrinker, not obese, and had no health conditions that would even be considered for Fatty liver. In fact, the CT scan when she got COVID in Jan of 2020 showed her Liver was normal.

It still appears to be a minefield of choices when you have
Nash
and diabetes as well as all the other ailments that come with being 75. I’m fortunate to be quite fit but do work at it so one good thing. Thanks again Pat

colonoscopy prep with nafld nash
I’m wondering if anyone else has had trouble (due to liver disease) with colonoscopy prep. Not fun for anyone…but I got so sick last time it took my liver over a month to calm down. I’m going to try suprep (prescribed) as it allows lower liquid requirements vs 2 bottles of myralax mixed with what seems

F3 Fibrosis Regression
It was all very confusing and then you read about the scary spin off called
Nash
or is it now MASH? So lost 4 stone, 6 ft 2 so makes a difference. And was carrying a lot of it around my abdomen. All bloods were normal base the ALT:AST which was about 0.9 but not elevated.

Alternative therapies
Has anyone used alternative therapies to help with symptoms of
NASH
or NAfLD? Specifically I’m thinking acupuncture, Tai chi, Qigong? If so what were the results? I started a weekly practice of Qigong and at home do movements focused on my liver.

INTERCEPT IS ENDING CLINICAL TRIAL
When the FDA voted against the approval of the drug last week, Intercept announced it will be discontinuing all R&D for
NASH
treatment. This is a grave disappointment.

Anyone with Cirrhosis from NASH?
I was diagnosed 10 years ago with
NASH
. No one told me how serious it was. Just told to lose weight. Had very mildly elevated AST and ALT occasionally over the years. Dr always said it was from medication (statin). Had diarrhea occasionally. Nothing found on colonoscopy so told it was IBS.

Numbers Through The Roof!
I thought the progression of a liver was NAFLD to
NASH
, then
NASH
to Cirrhosis. No? How can a person be only Borderline or Probably
NASH
, but have Severe Steatosis, and F4 Cirrhosis? Do you know anyone who has brought their liver back from numbers this high?

Unlocking the Maze of B Complexes: A Handy List for Safe Dosages and Bioactive Vitamins
It can be quite challenging to find reliable B-complex supplements that are safe in terms of dosage. Additionally, it is advisable to opt for bioactive vitamins for added safety. Worried about NASH / anxiety
Hi everyone, Little bit about me - 34 yo, celiac disease, SIBO, 26 BMI (athletic build, work out 4x a week), had an abnormal LFT back in 2021 (95 ALT), so my primary care doc sent me to get an ultrasound. This showed "moderate fatty liver" based on echogenicity. I was referred to hepatologist, they
