Probiotics and NASH/NAFLD

Has anyone experienced health benefits of over-the-counter probiotics for cirrhosis? Like some other information, for every study that finds there are benefits there’s an equal number advising not the take them because they can induce additional fatty liver complications.

I think even for healthy people probiotics should be used only during taking antibiotics (and maybe shortly after) according to dr's indications.I do not think they should be used in other cases.

Thanks for replying MintVcx. I now think caution is in order whenever there’s no definitive assertion.

Have not been able to tolerate Probiotics. I’ve tried with the insistence of a physician which has resulted in Hives.

Thank you LeiL. Seems probiotics aren’t the miracle the hype professes it to be.
