Is it endometriosis?
I started my period at 11 they’ve always been very heavy and very painful to point I’d be crying in pain. At 14 it got worse I’d be getting pains even when not on my period. I’d regularly be in a&e. So In the last year I’ve been to hospital maybe 4 times as no painkillers seem to help. I’ve been given

Off topic bloody infuriated
Sorry about this rant....... I’ve had a bad week joints very stiff and swollen and the fatigue hit hard. Struggled to get out of bed this morning but the dog was barking for a walk ( couldn’t last night as there were fireworks and she’s petrified) so I took some naproxen and codene had a cup of tea

Update on painkillers!
Hi folks, I'm back. Just to say I saw the doc yesterday and have settled for Naproxen 500mg twice a day. I have also switched from Gabapentin 400mg four times a day to Pregabalin 150mg twice a day. I have already been on Naproxen for two weeks with no side effects but when I took my first Pregabalin

IBS basics for beginners
Dear all, I have recently been suffering from excess burping and stomach pains for which I became dependent on Nexium for a couple of weeks. I have recently found that this is due mainly to changing from almond milk to lactose free milk, and also because I have been drinking a lot of decaff tea and

Bulging disc
Hi, I have a bulging disc which is pushing on a nerve, I’ve had the injections that didn’t work, in fact it has made it worse, I’m now on crutches as I just can’t walk unaided. I’m currently on 900mg per day of pregabalin, 400mg of Tramadol, 1000mg of naproxen and I’m taking paracetamol. I’m waiting

How do I swap from taking prednisone in the morning to the evening ?
I think I’d benefit from taking my prednisone in the evening rather than my usual 8 am . Please advise me as to how to make the changeover. Do I double up one day or do I skip my morning dose? Also will it increase my insomnia? I’m on 9.5 mg pred , omeprazole, 15 mg methotrexate a week ,5 mgs folic acid

Osteoporosis at 53 due to steroids
Hi, I've just found out I've got osteoporosis in my spine probably due to steroids 😞 my hips are going the same way. I've been on the highest dose of Seretide for years and in the last 12 mths have had 3 lots of oral steroids too as I've got mild bronchiectasis too. I now take a smaller dose and am

How much damage has Omeprazole and Doxycycline done to me?
I am at the end of my tether. Doctors turned their backs on me 3 weeks ago - all I had left to cling to, to try to find out what was wrong was an ECG at the surgery (sinus aryythmia but "no reason to worry") and a 24 hour ECG completed last week. No idea what has caused the aryythmia or the jittering

Change of painkillers - advice needed!
Hi folks, I have been on Co-codamol 30/500 four times a day for two years but started having horrible headaches a few months ago so I tapered it off with a view to stopping it. My GP said most painkillers stop working after a while anyway. I managed to stop Co-codamol completely two weeks ago, no headaches

Back in hospital -physically & emotionally drained. Surgery or persevere with injections?
So I’m writing this post from my hospital bed feeling like I’ve reached breaking point. It’s my 3rd time in hospital in 3 weeks due to the pain from severe endometriosis & chocolate cyst. Started hormone injections & HRT 3 weeks ago Each time they’ve tried different pain relief which works temporarily
