Well I gave the hospital a call and they don't have a cancellation appointment list but they said I can call them as often as I want to check for cancellations.. My GP said he can't hurry my appointment up as they are extremely busy (which I do understand). He took me off naproxen and gave me celecoxib

Hi, how quickly should Naproxen take to work? My daughter has been taking it for 10 days with no noticeable effect of the swelling in her knee.

Hi everybody! A few words and questions
Hi guys, I have been a member of this forum group since last month, and although this is my first post, I read the posts and responses on here often. I was discharged from Aintree hospital on November 28 this year, after being in hospital for 3 and a half months. I was first admitted to Oldham Royal

PMR, prednisone and daily stomach pain, plus weekly pain Alendronic acid
Wanted to ask: 1) who else suffers from stomach pains after taking their daily prednisolone? I take 12mg/day+ omeprazole for tummy but still get stomach pains (doubled omeprazol dose recently too) 2) Same question for alendronic acid.... Always gives me really bad stomach pain. Is that a normal experience

Just to let everyone know I have now weaned myself off Omeprazole after 7 years and I am now eating normally without any problems apart from a bit of heartburn which is normal after coming off these awful tablets takes about 8weeks to settle down I’ve been off them 5 weeks . The reason is they were doing

Straight on to methotrexate injections?
I am newly diagnosed RA. I have been and will continue to work very hard to have 'optimal' diet for supporting my immune system. A lot of this involves trying to 'heal the gut', so I am keen not to throw medicines down there if I can help it. I am already having to take naproxen for pain which I'm

Diaphragm endometriosis
Hi ladies, long post alert: I'm waiting for a lap to diagnose endometriosis for pelvic pain, but for about 6 months I've had pain in my upper-right abdomen and back around my right rib area, it also stabs up into shoulder and when it's bad it hurts to breathe in and out and can cause a tingly feeling

Hi everyone hope you're having a pain free day.. 5 years later and I'm still in pain and my hands are always swollen and warm to touch. 3 years ago my rheumy said he wasn't convinced I had RA and took me off my weekly methotrexate injections. Constant trips to my gp who IS convinced it's RA and I'm taking

Diverticulitis - what exactly is it
Many years ago I was told I had several diverticulae, through an internal scan (endoscopy or colonoscopy maybe?). Many times each year I suffer from bloating, it sometimes burns and this year for instance I have had vomiting 3 times for absolutely no reason, no-one else in the family is ever ill and

Pain relief
Hi guys! Im after some advise and guidance on pain relief, I have extreme pains including severe sciatica with my endometriosis. Omeprazole & pneumonia
I have a history of recurrent pneumonia over the last few years & I’ve been prescribed Omeprazole for constant indigestion. I’m a bit worried as I’ve read that it can cause pneumonia due to reducing your stomach acid so bacteria can grow when they wouldn’t normally. Does anyone else take it / have a

Notes, what notes?
So, many months back my GP swapped me from the originally prescribed Lansoprazole to Omeprazole (PPI's) due to my having the raging squits and other stomach problems. After my "annual review" a couple of months ago another GP couldn't decipher the cardiologists hospital notes so had to write to him to
