HYDROCORTISONE TABLETS
Hi everyone on this forum, need some advice I'm very confused, I was diagnosed with PMR September 2013, by my GP and I've found this group very helpful, as like many I've never heard of it before. I've been on a slow taper after a flare last summer, and now down to 2mg and in a lot of pain in neck, shoulders

Help with results and consultant visit please
I've been increasing my meds the last 9 months in the hope that I will feel better. It has not worked!! That may be down to the fact that I went down with shingle on Christmas eve and still have nerve pain, so sleeping is difficult. I had an extreme allergic reaction to Naproxen, followed by an allergic

Anti inflammatories and Corvid
A neighbour who works for the nhs has just been sent a medical alert that they must not prescribe anti inflammatories for anyone with the virus as it makes the illness worse, especially in younger people. The exact post said "We have just been sent a medical alert that no one is to use anti inflammatories

Naproxen
Should I stop taking my naproxen due to the Coronavirus? I have cut down from twice a day to once but not sure if I should stop or it’s just if I get symptoms.

Covid 19 or GERD?
Hi all, I’m a newbie on this site although I’m also on rheumatoid site 🙄. I’ve suffered with reflux for a few years, my stress over past 3 years has been immense and I thought I was at long last getting to grips after stress started to relent and I changed my eating habits. So much so I stopped taking

Naproxen
A friend told me today that taking naproxen or other anti inflammatory meds are not advised whilst this virus is about, if true how do we cope without them!

Naproxen
Was given naproxin last Thursday. It seems to be helping with the pain a bit. A bit is better than not helping.

Hi All, Just thought I’d post this as it may help others. I’ve always had a sensitive stomach and often got D if I was stressing a lot. I also get heartburn from some food. Mainly buttery and sweet food like jams and croissants. Doctor put me on Omeprazole three years ago and two years in i got bad

Coronavirus & Methotrexate
I do hope this isn’t too stupid a question but as my joints are doing well and I’m now grounded (working from home) and otherwise well, am I the only person who has considered coming off Methotrexate to encourage my immune system a bit.... just until covid-19 is better understood and the ‘worst’ is over

Propranolol and omeprazole interfering with conversion of T4 to T3.
Does anyone know how much Propranolol or Omeprazole interferes with T4 to T3. I am on 20mg omeprazole and 160mg of Propranolol (prolonged release). I take these when I get up and don't take my levothyroxine until late at night.

Weird IBS symptoms - any sound familiar?
So I've had IBS for about 2.5 years now. Started after a neurologist told me to cut out cheese and alcohol or a few months. Once I re-introduced them my problems began. Anyway, I've got to a point where the symptoms were mostly manageable by 20mg Omeprazole before my morning meal. I'd occasionally get

Before and after medication
Hello everyone, I'm 30 years old and I was diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis about 1.5 months ago, which was about 2 months after my symptoms started. On my visit to the rheumatologist, he wasn't sure what kind of arthritis I had due to my symptoms and prescribed me with 7.5mg methotrexate weekly

REFLUX IS A DISEASE, NOT A BAD MEAL CHOICE
Reflux (also called Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Disease, or GORD) is caused by a weak muscle in your oesophagus called the Lower Oesophageal Sphincter (LOS). The LOS is your body's reflux barrier. Normally your reflux barrier acts like a one-way valve, allowing food and liquid to pass into the stomach
