~What immunity have we with a reduced steroid intake for our PMR? ~
Continuing to struggle to get past 15mg Hydrocort, equivalent to 3mg Pred. As soon as I have dropped my morning dose from 7.5mg to 5mg I can confidently say that within 24 hours my legs/hips flare plus fatigue. Discomfort manageable but fatigue wears one down - told by my Rheumy that he wants me

Lupus and Sleep apnea
Please can anyone help I have been given a CPAP machine and I have tried 4 masks each keep lifting off my face, so no seal and the air pumps hard into my face, persevering but so so tired. Worried as the Lupus has damaged my right lung, could that be stopping the machine inflating my windpipe? Been so

New to epilepsy/seizures.
Hi I'd like to tell a bit of my story and grateful for any advice or feedback. I am a Community Mental Health nurse and driving is close to an essential requirement. I suffered a severe head injury around age 20. I'm now 49 and qualified as a nurse in 2005. I do have a long history of anxiety and depression

Teenager started xolair
My daughter aged 15 started Xolair last week, 3 jabs every 2 weeks. Just wondered what people's experiences were of Xolair? She has had 18months of 5-6 weekly admissions with very brittle asthma, needing Aminophillyn and Cpap each time, which has turned her life and ours upside down so we are desperately

Could it be thyroid?
Hi all 1st post so please be patient Have had fatigue, the only way I can describe it is it feels like I'm constantly coming up from anaesthesia, for six yrs since I had an ectopic pregnancy when I lost one ovary and Fallopian tube, other symptoms are aches, brain fog, weight gain, which won't shift

Introduction from AF sufferer - since 2012
Hi all I am 53 and male and I guess my story will be familiar. My first awareness of AF was after going to A&E feeling extremely fatigued and dreadful. 5 days later and two failed cardioversions later I was sent home with various medications. The next few months saw several other trips and hospital

sleep apnoea and driving license
Hi there, I've been diagnosed with sleep apnoea (OSA) since oct 2015 and been on a CPAP machine since nov 2015. I have notified the DVLA as per the advice of my sleep apnoea clinic and been told by the DVLA that I have to return my driving license and have it changed to a 3 yearly license instead. Note

Just wanted to clarify again, about MSM, and dosages.
I will never look back, now that I am taking about 15000mg of MSM daily, together with my ascorbic acid, you could also add a lemon in the hot water. I take 2 x 1.5 tsps daily, together with 1tsp of ascorbic acid. Each rounded tsp is about 5000mg, and yes I am taking quite a high dose now, but took

The ketogenic diet and cancer, or in fact most diseases.
This is actually what I do, I should add more fats, which I will do now. It is truly an eye opener, but only when most fall sick, will they do something about it, but many will just follow the conventional medical interventions, which I find a shame, as they are not really giving themselves a chance

When it all goes wrong I start to worry
Having one of those "is it all worth it" days! October: exacerbation closely followed by another in November. Sleep study arranged in December and sleep apnoea diagnosis in January. February got off to a good start, found a mask that sort of worked, CPAP doing the job and right up to yesterday all was

MSM Black seed oil and Extra vigin cod liver oil
Hi everyone, since stepping up my MSM intake to 10000mg in total, daily in 2 doses, I just feel even better. I buy the 99.9% organic pure crystals, really cheap, put 1 heaped tsp, together with 1 tsp of ascorbic acid, in warm water to dissolve them properly. Pretty bitter, but not that bad. Do not

Supplements vs drugs
Hi everyone I hope you are having a decent Sunday. I was diagnosed with FM in January. My consultant has recommended certain drugs (amyltriptyline and Duloxetine) but I want to try out a natural approach first so see if this works. I'm so sensitive to drugs that I want to avoid taking a daily dose of

Just don't know what to do
Hi all, My doctor tells me I am suffering from anxiety but I'm not so sure, I think it might be depression. It has been going on for about 2 months now, every morning I wake up at about 4am (after having real trouble getting off to sleep) and then I lay there tossing and turning and with an awful feeling

Very seldom do I find something that works.
MSM is the most wonderful thing that I have ever found. I thought that I had better energy, now self-medicating with T3, but OMG, I wondered why I had so much more energy, since starting on MSM. Going to my Salsa again tonight, just can't stop dancing!!! Read the following, a long article, but so

If you have asthma, MSM seems to help a lot, but also there is another very interesting article, about a guys personal trials.
In this article, MSM didn't help the guy, but then asthma suffers differ, just like us hypos. One thing works for one, and not the other. 3 of my children are asthmatic, and one of my daughters-in-law, so have told them all to have a read of the 2 articles, one about msm and asthma, and one from
