My bowels have become really stubborn for last few months, I have had IBS for over 15yrs now
Saw my GP about it and she prescribed
movicol
, but just made my belly rumble. Have just started to take colpermin again as took them few years back, am so uncomfortable and fed up.

Can someone, anyone, please please help me with the vexed question of constipation. I know it goes with the territory of PSP but my husband
I have tried Prunes and prune juice He has porridge and fruit every day He has as much fluids as he will accept I have tried Ducolease and Ducolax The GP has prescribed
Movicol
and Senna We have had varying success with all of these, some more disastrous than others, I will allow you to use your imagination

Hi my child had ibs since age 11 after having a really high temperature which cause the millions of lymph glands in the gut to inflame.
This had caused constipation for 30 days before the hospital finally used 8 satchel of
movicol
to clear it. Then had to have fybogel to balance the gut back. Since then contracted noro virus.

Zoladex advice please….
I also need my umbilicus repositioned because of that mal-surgery which caused some kind of bowl damage ( been on
Movicol
for 2 yrs now) so it could be adhesions but no one has investigated... 2 years down the line so I’m not convinced that injections for Endo are best for me anyway?

Loads of water,
Movicol
and lots of prunes helped a little. But found a natural item: Ortisan Fruits & Fibre - from health food shops. It is made from figs, senna, tamarind etc and is like a stock cube and you chew 1/2 of one in the evening. I found it a great relief, if you will pardon the pun.

anyone after a while begin to feel that something is really wrong?
Well Im about three months into my current bout of IBS which is nicely intertwined with anxiety and in those three months I've had to resort to the

once a month.

Blood around the pelvis?
Well once again I was back at the GP last night, after 2 weeks on
movicol
which did not help at all she told me to stop these and has put me on Mebeverine for a month to treat IBS and see how I get on. So annoyed though every symptom I mentioned to her she just kept going back to IBS.

Incomplete bowel movements
I used to be on fibrogel and
movicol
and did once use senna (re-emerging some days later) however I found them to be too strong, and as I suffer from diahrroea quite regularly anyway I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions to improve this delicate matter!
