First Injection of Pegasys
I FINALLY got approved for Pegasys, and am to pick it up at the pharmacy by Wednesday. My question is does the first injection happen in the Drs. office, or at home?? Were you given physical instructions for how to give the injection? I have written instructions that were sent to me with the approval

Travel Vaccinations
Hi. I have already emailed my Rheumatology Team but thought I would also ask for others experiences. I am considering travelling to countries which recommend vaccinations for things like Polio, Diphtheria, Hep A and B, Cholera, Tetanus etc. Now, I have had some of these in the past but longer than 10

Live vaccine for dengue fever
My son lives in Bali. He is in the middle of a very severe bout of dengue fever. I am going to visit him for 3 weeks in July. He has suggested I should have a vaccine before I go. I can find that it is called a " live attenuated dengue tetravalent vaccine". Even the vaccine side effects can be pretty

Does asthma severity tend to reflect that of sinuses?
I wasn’t sure where to post this but please tell me if it’s out of place as I’l move it. Basically I’ve had chronic sinusitis with polyps for over a decade. It is more chronic inflammation that’s the issue, with meds the polyps are only small/secondary to the inflammation. I don’t have asthma but

Hi, new to this page/forum, looking for information and advice.
Have been on PAS page and Thyroid UK page for a few years but just thought I'd be greedy and join yourselves too. Have been having increasing levels of pain and discomfort for years but just told lose weight, take brufen. Last few years have been awful , eventually got a referral to Rheumatology. Bloods

Steroid injection into Kiloid Scars
I have a dermatology appointment on Saturday (yes an NHS appointment on a Saturday) to review treatment of kiloid scars. I think one of the options suggested may be direct steroid injections into the scars themselves. I have had PMR for 9 years and have at last got stable on 7 mg prednisolone daily

pneumonia vaccination
I have been told to get my pneumonia jab , i’m not worried about sore arm, but i’m just a bit concerned i might feel poorly after. I didn’t feel poorly after my flu jab or covid booster. Any reassurance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Warm sensation in anus
After some bowel movements I'll feel a warm sensation afterwards in the anus. No diarrhea, no straining, no hemorrhoids, no bleeding. Just a warmth in the anus and feels like it isn't relaxing perhaps Anyone else have this? What causes it?

Covid
Feeling a bit rough on Tuesday I thought I'd use up the last of my Covid lateral flow tests to help clean our a cupboard and jings and crivvens it came back with the two red lines. I've avoided it entirely until now despite living with someone who caught it twice and having other near misses. I thought

Worse after an UTI and Covid
Good afternoon. About five weeks ago I developed an UTI for which I took three separate courses of antibiotics as it wouldn't clear. In the same period I contracted Covid which didn't affect me much. I only found out that I had it because a friend who I'd spent time with had done a Covid test and it
