I have a dermatology appointment on Saturday (yes an NHS appointment on a Saturday) to review treatment of kiloid scars. I think one of the options suggested may be direct steroid injections into the scars themselves.
I have had PMR for 9 years and have at last got stable on 7 mg prednisolone daily after a few ups and downs. I have mild aches and pains and occasional mild symptoms of adrenal (cortisol?) insufficiency but I’m fine with that and feel in control of the situation and quality of life is good. I intend to start a very slow taper down to 6.5mg over 2 months when I feel ready.
So I do not want to have these injections if they are in any way likely to cause any inbalance in my situation. Presumably the steroid doesn’t just stay in the scar area but circulates? Has anyone else had this treatment whilst taking steroids orally?

Steroid injections for local purposes are fine while on oral pred and many on the forum have had such injections, mainly for joint problems, can't remember one for a keloid scar. The main concentration remains at the site and washes out over a period of a few weeks, leading to a natural tapering of the dose. You might even find it helps a taper - and there are rheumies who will use one for a flare rather than increasing the oral dose.
