Deal on PROTACs: ARV-766 development will be carried out by Novartis
in a nutshell, a PROTAC (PROteolysis TArgeting Chimera) is like a specialized tool designed to eliminate unwanted proteins in the body. It's like a magic marker that marks a specific protein inside a cell (cancer cell in our case). This tricks the internal "waste management system" of into breaking down

I have been on here a few times and Jools and Sue saved my sanity! Other's have also been so kind so, thank you...again! I do have another question which I'm sure Jools and Sue can help me with. The 20 mcg Buprenorphine patch has helped my RLS hugely though I know it's lurking but I can now sleep which

Tia Stroke
Recent numbness in right arm and face. 10 minute duration. Bloodwork good. CT and CTA good. MRI with contrast good. Holter 48 hr. Good. No AF since first episode in 1994. Recent Echo Of Heart and Carotids. Good. Ironically, discussing stopping Flecainide and this happens. Has anyone taken Flecainide

I've posted here a few times to discuss gut health for those of you suffering from PA who also have gut issues. In my quest to find some relief from visceral hypersensitivity and massive intolerances (leading to malabsorption) I began acupuncture treatment this year. I am very lucky to have an anethesist

Vasculitis in the pancreas?
Has anyone with GPA or MPA been diagnosed with pancreatic issues due to vasculitis? Hubby had has GPA for 15 years, kidney transplant and sinus involvement and most often in remission until now. He has lost 40 pounds( not trying) and must take enzymes to digest food with a very bland diet. All this happened

I had a liver transplant in 2016 now last few years health isn't going great, and Dr wants to change my adoport to envarus, but my story is long. But just for now does envarus stop bad headaches, cause weight gain. Plus suffer low sodium levels and type 3c diabetic. That's me for now

The 'Brain Energy Gap' and its possible implication on the progress of PD.
Has anyone else seen the work of Professor Stephen Cunnane on the 'brain energy gap' and its implications for PD, Alzheimers and cognitive impairment? I've put a link to one of his talks below, but to summarise: - Cognitive impairment and brain health in PD, Alzheimers, is due in part to an 'brain

Change to diet
Plodding along for years with T2, first metformin but now insulin twice per day. Reasonably good diet, try to avoid added or high sugar, although carbs can be my downfall, mostly active, low alcohol consumption. Blood glucose readings fairly consistent, though slightly above target and keep nudging

The things that happen 🤷♂️
Good Morning everyone we didn’t see the eclipse yesterday as we had cloud ☁️ cover and was only going to see 35 percent anyway. Still have photos saved from 2017 was great 👍🏼 Hopefully more of you got to enjoy this. Still plugging along and poor Rozy has an ear infection so I was up putting medication

Ringing in Ear
Hi, I read this forum every day, and always have a takeaway from it about something I didn't know, so I'm hoping the group can help me with this new, delightful (ha!) ringing in my left ear that started about six weeks ago. I saw an ENT on Tuesday, and was diagnosed with Tinnitus. I had an audiogram
