in a nutshell, a PROTAC (PROteolysis TArgeting Chimera) is like a specialized tool designed to eliminate unwanted proteins in the body. It's like a magic marker that marks a specific protein inside a cell (cancer cell in our case). This tricks the internal "waste management system" of into breaking down the protein. And it seems to be working whether mutations are present or not.
Deal on PROTACs: ARV-766 development ... - Advanced Prostate...
Deal on PROTACs: ARV-766 development will be carried out by Novartis

Oh Ya, I will get my first ARX517 end of this months, I hope it works Feels so good with all this options. Thank you #Maxone73
I started on ARV-766 about 12 days ago. To qualify for the phase 2 dose expansion study, you need a mutation in the AR. I had a liquid biopsy from Oct. that showed one. They needed an updated one & came back with two. It's an oral med, randomized to 100 or 300mg a day (I'm at 300). Will have PSA checked this Wed. Subjectively, my bone pain has decreased, which I hope will translate to a lower PSA. Scans are every 8 weeks.
I'm hopeful and encouraged that Novartis sees promise in the drug.
"waste management system" sounds like a political party......
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
