Costochondritis is an inflammation of the cartilage between the ribs and breastbone, and can be caused by different things. It is worth remembering though that inflammation is a process, not a disease.

So if this has happened because of a trauma (accident, falling over, hitting something, laughing or coughing too much) then it will take time to heal. It could be caused by another condition, such as arthritis. If the arthritis is treated then it is likely to heal and feel better.

It can often take a year to heal, so you need to give yourself time.

Can you figure out why the ribs are moving out of position? I I know it feels better when they pop back in, but that in itself can cause enough damage that the immune system sends out signals which can cause the inflammation. If you can figure out how to stop them from popping out in the first place, then rest, although it will take time it should get better.

Thanks for the reply. Yes honestly I tried ruling out everything and no.i can't think of when I got injured.i don't have poor posture.id say it's pretty good.only thing I can think of is sleeping with my toddler he cuddle under my arm for a good while when we go to sleep. immediately I stopped doing it after It kinda made sense. But it's being months and still no progress. Sometimes it's not bad at all but flare ups are bad.
