Sore mouth & tongue
My mouth keeps feeling sore, this affects my tongue, roof of mouth & gums, also feels sensitive & hot. I have several health issues including hypothyroidism, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia & hypertension so not sure if any of these could be the cause? Advice appreciated 🤞

Catherine's Journey to a Beautiful Smile in Costa Rica
I’d like to share the inspiring story of Catherine Brenner, a 61-year-old retired teacher from Bonita Springs, who recently transformed her smile with dental veneers in Costa Rica. 🦷✨ Facing prohibitively high dental costs in the US, where quotes ranged from $1,000 to $2,500 per tooth, Catherine started

Lupus toothpaste reaction
Hi all, I have had Lupus for a long time but it never affected my mouth before. After a very stressful few weeks/months, I now have a mouth full of ulcers. Cracks on my tongue, lips and the skin around my mouth. I was putting the ulcers down to the Lupus. But everytime I brush my teeth now, my mouth

Duloxetine and sore gums
Hi everyone, Hope everyone is well as can be ☺️ I was wondering if anyone on Duloxetine or Amitriptyline experiences sore gums? I went to the dentist yesterday and they think it could be one of the medications that I'm taking, possibly Duloxetine or Amitriptyline. As I've taken both of them together

thrush in mouth
I have had antibiotics lately and have thrush in my mouth. I have been prescribed Nystan to take 4 times a day. The nurse /practioner said also rinse my mouth after using my steroid inhaler. The problem is do I rinse and spit or rinse and swallow? Swallowing is so much easier

Dentists
Hi everyone-I am due to have CABG July/August. I have a routing check up at dentist this month. I have read somewhere of a link between teeth/gums and heart disease. What are the risks, if any? Is there any chance of dental treatment delaying the heart operation? Thanks

Affect of Alendronic acid if needing dental work?
This aspect bothers me as well as the implications of taking Alendronic acid. At age 81 after taking AA for about 18 months, I stopped it after I was prescribed HRT patches for another problem . Whilst HRT protects bones to a certain extent , I believe it doesn't increase bone density as does AA.

persistent oral thrush
I've been on an increased dose of prednisolone since August last year. I've started reducing since January (tried before with a flare-up). I also use a steroid inhaler for asthma (and rinse afterwards). I have frequent problems with oral thrush. Unfortunately the stuff that seemed to work best - the

Bad cold sore should I wait to inject Methotrexate?
I was at the dentist last Thursday - not my usual one - and she was a bit rough! She split my lip in the corner and it's came out with large cold sores which are not healing! 😔 I'm considering not injecting today to give them a better chance to heal - what do you think? They're sore and I can't eat

Going round in circles
Following my gastroscopy this is on the report: THE GASTRIC MAPPING SHOW MODERATE CHRONIC INFLAMMATION. THERE IS MULTIFOCAL INTESTINAL METAPLASIA THROUGHOUT THESE BIOPSIES. THERE IS ALSO SEVERE GLANDULAR ATROPHY WITH NEUROENDOCRINE HYPERPLASIA. NO MUCOSAL ULCERATION OR ACTIVE INFAMMATION SEEN.

Dental treatment and CLL
My husband has been taking Acalabrutinib for nearly two years. His lymphocyte count is around 40 and other blood results normal. His dentist says he needs 4 teeth extracted over the next year or so - 3 teeth in 2 sessions in the Spring/Summer and one in the Winter. His main worries are having to stop

Post dental treatment
Wondering how you are all doing? Just has some dental treatment this week and thought I was doing okay after it but now feeling the effects. Why does dental treatment do that? I made sure to ensure I didn't have adrenal in local aneasthetic, checked I wasn't sensitive to the ingredients in the filling
