Pain with the marina
Hi all, In June 2016 I had a laparoscopy and was diagnosed with endos, whilst out for surgery I had the marina coil fitted. I was told by my doctor that it should stop the endos from coming back, and since then I haven't had any pain or any signs of a period until now. I've had excruciating pain all

Mirena Coil Questions
Hi, I had the
Mirena
Coil fitted a week ago and I'm just wondering if everything is normal. I've experienced a bit of bleeding but nothing too heavy and some cramps but nothing excruciating. I've also experienced some discharge but have heard this is all normal.

I have had the
mirena
coil inserted couple of weeks ago (tmi warning) but have been bleeding nearly a week and its pretty heavy. Seems to slow for a bit then go heavy again. I have read that it could be like this for at least 3 months :(.

Contraception question for ladies...
I used to have a
Mirena
coil which I loved but I had it removed as it was coming to the end of the 5 years and now I'm wondering whether to go back to that or whether another type of coil or an implant might be better - or something else entirely?? Would appreciate any words of wisdom on this.

Pain because of the coil
I have had the
mirena
coil in now for 5 weeks, I have been in pain and on my period for the whole time. It started to lighten a bit but the past week I have been heavily bleeding and for the past 4 days I've woken up crying because of the cramps and getting so frustrated.

Treatment post laparoscopy... not contraception though.
My gynaecologist suggested that I have a
mirena
coil fitted during my laparoscopy. I am really cautious of contraception because I have tried so so many types and all have had negative side effects.

Guidance please
Recently I had to replace a
mirena
coil under general anastasia as the previous one was out of placed and embedded . 4 weeks later I am still having problems with pain and bleeding. Does anybody have any advice or guidance to help me please. I am so frustrated at myself for always being ill.

Success in treating Endo with Mirena coil alone?
Hi everyone, I was wondering how successful the
mirena
or other hormone coils are in treating Endo. I'm nearly 19 and have had troublesome periods for about 6/7yrs.

Speculum pain
Hi, I had the
mirena
coil inserted today and found the insertion of the speculum excrutiatingly painful. I was diagnosed with endometriosis on a ligament on my left hand side 3 1/2 years ago when I was 18 but have been showing symptoms since I started my period at 11.

MIRENA and dry eyes?
If you had
Mirena
and dry eyes, did it get better with the time without getting the
Mirena
out? or, did it improve after
mirena
removal?

Trying to get some support and not feel so alone!
I went back to my specialist who recommended me getting the
mirena
coil. I was open to the idea but when I tried to get this fitted, it got to the point where they apply lubricant to the womb to insert the coil and I almost passed out from the pain so decided not to go ahead!

HRT post hysterectomy
I'm having terrible side effects with all the treatments and have
Mirena
coil in which has helped the bleeding but I still have pains, constant nausea and also very severe depression now. I'm now happy to try the surgery and realise it's not curative but will help in many of the side effects etc.

First time posting.........
Is the
mirena
coil the best option and what side effects not necessarily related to APS but the coil itself have people found. I have had friends who used this coil but hated the side effects.

Combined pill
Surgeon trying to persuade me to have
MIRENA
or Provera (progesterone only pill but this isn't a contraceptive ). Very blessed to have 1 child (5 year old girl). Unlikely I can have more due to adenomyosis but feel too old now to have another anyway. So really need contraception.

Mirena coil
I had the
mirena
coil fitted a couple of years later and had it removed in October 2016. Since having it removed, I have been suffering with severe mood swings about 10days before my period is due. Has anyone else had this?

Hello, Have the
mirena
coil 3 months now and still experiencing nausea, insomnia, severe lower back pain. Has anyone experienced the same? If so, did you have it removed or did the pain settle eventually?
