I'm a newbie here
I went to the doctors, and she suggested the
mirena
coil, which I was really hesitant about because the thought of it made me cry and have a panic attack. She suggested the DepoProvera injection. I gave it a shot, and tried to carry on as normal as possible. It didn't really work.

Hello
But because I have a
mirena
coil I don't get a bleed so I have no idea where. My cycle is. As you all can imagine this has been so frustrating, it feels like no one listens and Dr's have even told me they are 100% convinced it's bot gynea related. This was my old gp.

Mirena coil or depo injection??
I am 17, experiencing exp trend cramping and back pains. Been to gynae on Tuesday and she said one of the two options I should benefit from. However she will see me in 6/8 months time to see if either have worked and if surgery to investigate is necessary. Can someone give me some information on either

Mirena coil & endometriosis
Hi all, Can anyone tell me - if the
Mirena
coil is put in place after a laparoscopy to treat endometriosis, is it supposed to stop monthly periods? If you continue to have monthly periods (although they are lighter), does that mean that the coil isn't working for the endometriosis? Thanks.

Mirina coil - agony!
Hi girls Please someone help!! I have had the marina coil put in last Wednesday I was on my period at the same time. I've been taking paracetamol, ibruprofen and codiene. Nothing is touching it. Even the hot water bottle 😓 which usually saves my life !! Does anyone else have any pain relief advice

Endometriosis treatment & migraines
I had a laparoscopy to remove adhesions and the
Mirena
coil inserted afterwards to deal with any further Endometriosis. But the
Mirena
coil doesn't appear to be working. I am still having monthly periods (should these have gone away with the
Mirena
coil?)

Mirena coil - should I have it removed?
Hello, hoping I can get some advice - I’ve had the
mirena
coil in for a year a half now and recently I’ve started to notice that my hormones have become quite intense. I feel like I’m coming on my period a lot and my boobs are so big!

Caught in a postcode lottery
Instead a
Mirena
coil was suggested (without asking how I actually respond to birth control hormones or device implants - answer; HORRIBLY).

T3 after thyroid cancer
Hi everyone, I haoa question is it safe to take t3 or ndt if I had low grade thyroid cancer? New endo says not safe, she is currently doing thyroglobin bloods which I assume are cancer markers and said she will speak to me then. She thinks I should consider hrt and marina coil because she feels menopause

Mirena & excruciating pain
I had my
mirena
fitted 3 weeks ago during a diagnostic lap & hysteroscopy. First day of period today & I feel like I'm in labour. I have pain constantly but this is something else. The pain is overwhelming & it bringing me to tears.

Second appointment with the gyne, very disappointed and feeling very down
After being on the
mirena
for a few months with very little improvement and the pain getting worse in itself, I was ready to go and push for at least a diagnosis lap as I just want my life back, or at least a more formal diagnosis for an action plan to follow...

34 wanna be mum with Polycystic Ovaries
If I don't keep losing weight, I have no chance of getting pregnant once they remove the
Mirena
Coil (which is a contraceptive, but helping level hormones for now) so I need a swift kick up the bum to get me motivated!

In two minds mirena coil success stories??
Today i had my first gynae app i was pretty much told that i need to either have a
mirena
fitted or a hysterectomy but at the age of 30 although i am very lucky to have two children he is reluctant to do the latter. So my only option is to try the
mirena
.

After consultant update
She said I need to persevere with the
mirena
for another 3 months. If I am still in pain then she will take it out and look into something else. I did feel she wasn't really interested in what I has to say. It was like she knew what she was going to say to me before I even walked in the room.
