To Mirena coil or not to Mirena coil?
Hey all, I'm not sure if anyone could advise me here but I'm not sure where else to go.. I'm wondering what your responses have been to the Mirena coil? I've had every NHS recommended contraceptive pill, injection, implant - I even had the Mirena coil but it came out* about 3 days after it was fitted

Dealing with doctors and finding the causes yourself
So, how do you deal with doctors/the health service in general when it comes to treating endo? I'm 26 and have recently had my second laparoscopy to treat my endometriosis. I had the first one in 2010 and the gynacologist was very surprised to find a 'significant amount' in my abdomen, which he lasered

Flares of Nausea, Panic, Chills ..
Hiya! I'm at my wits end and I really don't know who or where to ask. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 14, Endo at 21 and have had a total of 5 operations and am now 31. I was told after last operation things were 'ok' but to go on Zoladex. As my problems have been lifelong and Zoladex is only a temporary

15 day periods every month.. Do I stay on the pill or move on to something else?? Help!
After my first pregnancy when my bleeding cleared up I went back on cerelle which had previously been amazing with me, a few spotting occasions between months but barely periods ever, unfortunately this time I started getting my period every month on the 27th I took this to do with my body getting used

Mirena removal experience
I'm due to have my Mirena removed next Friday, it was inserted during a lap so I knew nothing of the insertion :) I've heard that removal isn't too bad but wondered about other ladies' experience of the removal. Is it painful? Any tips? My endo feels quite bad at the moment so I'm sore and a bit concerned

Newbie needing advice!
Hi! My names Amber and I'm 18 (yes baby over here) and 'I'm in pain' is my most common used sentence right now. For a bit of background, I've had weird periods since day one and had them quiet early on to. Pain came with my periods but I never realised that the amount of pain I was in wasn't normal.

What are your symptoms? Had endometriosis 20 years, only diagnosed last summer!
I first started getting endometriosis pains when I was pregnant at 21 (20 years ago!!) ultra sound picked up a cyst, so they presumed it was that causing the pain. It was only when I was being sterilised last summer that they found the endometriosis, and removed the dermoid cyst. I've been to A & E twice

After 2 weeks of severe pain they removed the mirena coil yesterday- spent 7 hours at hospital nearly admitted - just a question
It's so true we should trust our own judgement after a night doubled over in pain I went to my GP this yesterday who tried to examine me for the strings but couldn't due to the pain she rang the hospital who requested to see me straight away as an 'emergency' initial talk about me being admitted. A lovely

Don't know how to feel for Mirena coil threads?
Hi all, I had the Mirena coil put in just 2 weeks ago and tried to check to see if the threads were there. I know the basic procedure to do this, but honestly don't know what I'm actually feeling with my finger! Sounds silly but I'm having trouble distinguishing the cervix, can feel hard parts, ridges

Endo pain back with mirena - is this normal?
Hi all I had my last op for endo 2 years ago to remove endo and had the mirena refitted. The has returned in the last two weeks. Has anyone else with the mirena had the pain return? Last time it took approx 4 years after the op and with the mirena before I was back suffering and needed another op
