Hi

I started my periods at 13& got them every 3-4 months . At 22 I got the mirena coil . I've had it taken out now and six months on I've had no period . Will my period ever return . I have a docs app fri as I strongly suspect pcos ( have acne +worsening facial hair ).

In what sense do you mean, in getting worse? Pcos symptoms kick in as soon as you start puberty, periods all over place, hair growth, acne, weight gain and some women get depression. The only thing what changed with me as I got older was that periods I had got further apart. Have you been diagnosed yet?

Often coming off the pill or mirena coil, your body will be come more pcos as both control the symptoms, they both mask pcos pretty well (I stay on the combined pill because of this and have been on and off it for 30 years).

What was your reason for having it removed ? Make sure you cut out all white carbs as they are the devil when it comes to pcos.

You do need to ensure you have a period every 3 months to keep your uterus healthy so ask for something to force a bleed.
