Failed mirena
Hi I went for my coil fitting today with the consultant, was painful and I have a high pain threshold and they said how well I was doing. Anyway they tried about 3 tes and then decided to do a scope and have a look and tried again. But unfortunately he still couldn't do it and i was shaking in pain.

Thoughts on Zoladex please?
I'm well aware everyone is different, but I was suggested it yesterday by a consultant, as I have tried the Mirena (didn't work out for me) and he is saying the dose of my pill is not high enough to suppress the pain, so a higher dose combined pill is an option too. Thanks!

Good morning amazing women!!!
Hi, I had my major op done in 2005, had a mirena put in and taken out in 2009. After that was smooth sailing until last year (last year cos I had IVF on NHS and it completely messed my insides up!!!) Anyway, The mirena worked well for me but I changed my diet drastically cos of my bowel movements. Sometimes

Continued cycle-linked symptoms minus the bleeding during Zoladex 3.6mg for 3 month
I have just completed 3mth Zoladex 3.6. I didn't bleed apart from 2x days spotting during first inj. But my cycle symptoms continued minus the blood basically. In fact I've been in A&e twice during the treatment on my knees in pain during "ovulation" time. A bleed would have been welcomed actually

How quickly can Endo return?
Hi all, I’m an Aussie Endometriosis sufferer, and I had my second lap surgery in early April. My doctor is an expert in the field of surgery for Endo and he identified my ‘IBS’ symptoms were actually that of Endo. He was right and I’ve been really well until about two weeks ago. I’ve started to get gut

Positive mirena insertion stories needed...!
My gynae finally pursuaded me to have the mirena and its finally going to be inserted this week and I'm ridiculously scared - I've had friends who've had it and none of them have had a good time with the insertion! I'm going to have local anaesthetic but I'm really worried about the cramping afterwards

Follow up with gynae (post ultrasound)
Hi all, I saw my GP who was extremely dismissive of all my symptoms (ticked everything on the endo symptom list), and who finally referred me to a gynae after a heated argument. Saw a gyno at a hospital, who said I probably didn't have endo and was also very dismissive. Put my foot down and said I wanted

Period mirena and zoladex
Hi guys, Two years ago I had a laparoscopy for my endometriosis and had the Mirena inserted. The doctor started me on zoladex for six months 2 weeks after surgery. That was amazing and I didn't get my periods at all throughout and just assumed it would begin after I had finished. I had spotting throughout

Laparoscopy with marina coil
I have been booked in to have a diagnostic laparoscopy. The consultant has told me he would be able to treat any Endo he is able to. He also suggested that I have a marina coil fitted. Why would he do this? Anyone else had this fitted after the laparoscopy

Newly diagnosed pelvic congestion syndrome
I’ve recently been diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome after 10 years of suffering with pelvic pain and heavy periods. Initially was told it was endometriosis so I tried numerous contraceptive pills and mirena to help with symptoms but none have had any effect. I had the mirena removed in September

Adenomyosis
I was diagnosed with adenomyosis after several months of pain and finally a ultrasound. Past HX: Mirena implant, which went through uterus and had to be removed laparoscopically. Severe bleeding and pain so I had endometrial oblation as well as a bilateral tubal ligation. Was great for 8 years now

Looking for personal stories od the mirina, and also can you use tampons after having it fitted if you bleed? My period is due a few days after it will be fitted. Did you go to work after having it fitted too ?x

Mirena coil again before operation?
My endo was diagnosed 4 years ago by general and lasered. I then went back a year later as no improvements with pain/symptoms and they found no endo and inserted the Mirena. The mirena massively helped my daily endo pain and my periods for a whole year, but even though it has low hormone levels, I

I’ve got my surgery date
Just an update on my last post - I’ve just been to see my consultant and he’s going to do a total hyterecromy in 4 weeks - ovaries, tubes, uterus and cervix. He’s starting me on a nasal spray to stop my ovaries working now and HRT patches and also treatment for my IC. (Putting some liquid into my bladder
