Newly diagnosed pelvic congestion syndrome
I’ve recently been diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome after 10 years of suffering with pelvic pain and heavy periods. Initially was told it was endometriosis so I tried numerous contraceptive pills and mirena to help with symptoms but none have had any effect. I had the mirena removed in September

Adenomyosis
I was diagnosed with adenomyosis after several months of pain and finally a ultrasound. Past HX: Mirena implant, which went through uterus and had to be removed laparoscopically. Severe bleeding and pain so I had endometrial oblation as well as a bilateral tubal ligation. Was great for 8 years now

Looking for personal stories od the mirina, and also can you use tampons after having it fitted if you bleed? My period is due a few days after it will be fitted. Did you go to work after having it fitted too ?x

Mirena coil again before operation?
My endo was diagnosed 4 years ago by general and lasered. I then went back a year later as no improvements with pain/symptoms and they found no endo and inserted the Mirena. The mirena massively helped my daily endo pain and my periods for a whole year, but even though it has low hormone levels, I

I’ve got my surgery date
Just an update on my last post - I’ve just been to see my consultant and he’s going to do a total hyterecromy in 4 weeks - ovaries, tubes, uterus and cervix. He’s starting me on a nasal spray to stop my ovaries working now and HRT patches and also treatment for my IC. (Putting some liquid into my bladder

Copper coil....
Has anyone got/had the copper coil? I can’t handle the pill because of the hormones and the mirena coil helped with my endo pain for a year but then stopped helping and gave me anxiety and depression. I’m just wondering if the copper coil would be better as it has no hormones whatsoever? Although

I am sure I have endometriosis, but doctors wont help!
I started my periods when I was 10 years old, and I always dreaded that time of the month due to having “bad periods”. I was put on the pill soon after this and I was told this would help settle them as will help “level my hormones”. From then i was put on what feels like every kind of contraceptive

Help with interpreting results please
I’ve been suffering from very heavy periods since puberty and more recently after the birth of my youngest child. I had a mirena coil fitted and had some relief but that came with its own problems. I had the coil removed a year ago and the heavy periods returned. I had been feeling terrible fatigue for

Syranel Experiences?
To add a bit of background, I am 23 years old and have had 4 laps for my endo. My most recent was 12 months ago when I also had a mirena fitted as I’ve been tried on pretty much every other contraception. My main issue is the large scale of pain I am in on a daily basis, I feel as though everything else

Endo diagnosis at 24... pregnancy help?!
Hi everyone... I’m in abit of a mess at the moment, I was diagnosed with endometriosis (officially by lap) a few weeks ago after suffering for as long as I can remember. Haven’t had my post op yet but was told it was advanced and was pretty much everywhere... other than my ovaries. I also had polyps

Mirena coil and dreams
Since having my second mirena coil I have been having awfully vivid dreams to the extent I can no longer tell if they are real or not. I’ve woken my partner up shouting many times. Is this the mirena?

Hi all, I’ve been discharged after four days inpatient in hospital for pain management reasons. I’m already diagnosed with endo and treatment wise I’ve had: 3 x laparoscopy - one diagnostic, unable to remove endo as on ureters, x2 excision. 1 x round zoladex (hell) progesterone only pill (multiple types

At my wit’s end
Hi - I was diagnosed with endo 15yrs ago after the birth of our first child - I’ve had two rounds of diothermie since then because any hormonal treatment sets off massive migraine with Todd’s Paralysis (like having a stroke). The last diothermie treatment I had ended with a 2 minute cardiac arrest due

Relation between thick uterine lining and endometriosis.
Does anyone else have thick uterus lining with the disease? as my gynaecologist said that the lining is too thick and therefore the mirena isn’t suppressing the oestrogen enough. 🤔

Gyno says Endometriosis is 'cured' .... despite constant pain
I'm 22 and have always suffered with my menstrual cycles - I was wondering if anybody has any advice or can relate? I miscarried 4 times and had multiple ultrasound scans. Eventually I had a lyposcopy in November 2017 and was diagnosed with endometriosis, which they lasered away and installed a mirena
