Amitiza vs Linzess
Is anyone on Linzess? I have been taking amitiza (24mcg twice daily) for over a year now. I have bowel issues due to MS (neurogenic bowels and motility problems). For the most part, amitiza has helped, but not totally corrected the problem. My gastroenterologist has mentioned trying Linzess. I have NO

Trying to wean off Mirapexin nightmare.
To tide me over whilst trying to come off mirapexin, because of augmentation problems, my gp prescribed me clonazepam and quinine . I went home with high hopes that this was going to stop the torture I was going through, and also let me sleep. However, it made my symptoms so much worse that I was awake

Many symptoms and Thyroid/auto immune tests positive
I have never in my life thought so much could go wrong at the same time. I have a TBI, which got worse with each of my two pregnancies, I had the worst luck of incompetent doctors not believing me for a long time, actually had me convinced I was making it all up until it was proven they were wrong, my

Sleep Apnea
I saw my neurologist about my augmentation of Mirapexin and he wondered if I had sleep apnea and if I had periodic leg movement in the night, I went to our local sleep centre and yes I have sleep apnea as well as restless legs they recommended this awful mask to wear I can not bring myself to wear it

Neurontin?
Hi everyone, I was prescribed a medicine called
Mirapex
for my bipolar disorder and I had a bad allergic reaction to it. Broke out in a rash all over my body. So I'm off that now, but he has prescribed a new one its place. It's called neurontin.

How long does it take for Mirapex to get out of your system when it is stopped?
My neurologist thinks that
Mirapex
1.5 mg for RLS is causing my sudden sleep attacks. She has changed me to Gapabentin. How long does it take for the
Mirapex
to get out of my system? The last dose of
Mirapex
was Dec 21 at bedtime and I had another sleep attack last night.

An almost totally sleepless night
Well it is 6 am and I have been up most of the night. Saw my Dr yesterday and she gave me codeine at my request because the Tramadol although it reasonably felt with the RLS kept me awake all night. Well last night at 7 I took one codeine and 2 lyrica then at 8.30 took another codeine and one lyrica

For years I had IBS-D....then over a period of about a year--it up and decides to switch to IBS-C...!! Hard to believe this happens unless you experience it yourself. Anyway, my problem is this: Doc Rx'd me the ingredient in MIralax but it and I don't get along well... I try to eat right and drink enough

I'm taking .35 mg of extended release and have to take half of a milligram of regular
Mirapex
to get sleep. It is going ok but I'm not sure where to go from here.

Have You Tried a Dopamine Agonist?
Mirapex
(pramipexole) is another good one! Both the generics and brand names are drugs called dopamine agonists and although fantastic for a lot of people, they are not for everyone because there are side effects with every drug.

Pramipexole (Mirapex) appear to have neuroprotective and neurorestorative properties
This study (Dopamine D3 receptor agonists for protection and repair in Parkinson's disease). goes on to say that
Mirapex
has a neuroprotective and neurorestorative effect. From what I read on this forum
Mirapex
has a lot of side effects and is nearly impossible to get off of.

Neuropathic Pain
Any help would be appreciated. Suffer from peripheral neuropathy and have constant burning up in legs which is driving me round the twist. Even the slight weight of clothing increases the pain. Take pre-gabelin 300mg (2 daily) Co-codamol 30mg (2 x 4 times daily) Duloxitene 180mg, Mirapexin 0.18mg

Bad night so far
I realized I forgot to take my
Mirapex
for the last two nights. Waiting for the meds to kick in now. I can't even imagine weaning myself off.

Doing lots better with my RLS 😌
Just wondered if
Mirapex
helps put weight on because since I've lowered down on my dosage of Meripex I'm dropping weight like crazy.

Background I've had restless legs for over 8 years and am on mirapexin which I am fine with as it helps me to get to sleep although I wake up every 2-3 hours. Last November year my Neurologist diagnosed a neuropathy in my feet as well and asked my doctor to check whether a whole selection of things

Last resort
He put me on
Mirapex
and I was on it for many years. I had to up the dose many times. I then did some research on the drug and got worried about the long term side effects. I worked with my doctor and I weaned myself off the
Mirapex
with small doses of Hydramorphone. It took awhile but it worked.
