Mirapex

I am wondering if anyone out there has went from Mirapex to Neupro and then back to Mirapex? I took a holiday from the Mirapex before i changed to the Neupro patch. Can or has anyone taken Neupro and went back to Mirapex without taking a vacation from Neupro?

I am now taking Mirapex as well as Pregabalin for my severe RLS. I had to stop using Sinemet because of the augmentation and now I am beginning to suffer the same with Mirapex. I am having occasional outbreaks of RLS in the afternoons and early evening . I cannot predict when this might occur.

I am on .375 mg of Mirapex 3 pills at night. I am doing well with exercise and diet also. I was considering doing the NAD+ IV therapy which is 5 days of 1000mg with a vitamin infusion with glutathione. Has anyone had success with this protocol?

I have been taking Mirapex (Pramipexole) for it and it works well except that it has caused too much weight gain. My MDS just wrote me a prescription for Lyrica (for RLS). I wanted to know if anyone else has taken Lyrica? Did it work well and what are the side effects?

I will be testing again in 4 weeks, before I start weaning mirapex. My question is about side effects of high ferritin level. A couple days after the infusion I started having severe right hip joint pain to where I can hardly walk.

Cheating with Mirapex poison some nights to get some sleep. Any ideas? Switch to Pregabalin, Iron infusion. I've been researching Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM. In particular Radix Paeoniae.

Mirapex and Neupro helped a little. Methadone made it go away, but now I live in a country where none of the 3 is available. After toying with the carnivore diet for a few months but cheating regularly, I decided to take it seriously. No more cheating.

According to many of you, I went off the mirapex too quickly. LotteM suggested I keep taking the Horizant and take a tiny dose of mirapex with it for 2-3 weeks. I'm okay with that since I still have some mirapex. I hate to do this without talking to my dr. But she is on vacation for a week.

I am currently still taking mirapex (pramipexole) but am planning on weaning off soon from the overwhelming advice on this forum. Here is my question, pramipexole is a dopamine agonist and my doctor has prescribed wellbutrin which is a dopamine reuptake inhibitor.

What is the best medication to switch to when coming off mirapex?

Once before many years ago I went off the mirapex and I had rls around the clock. It was a nightmare. I am afraid this may happen again. I don't mind going off mirapex if she has something else for me to take. What happens when I go off the mirapex completely. Dont know if I can do it.

I'm up to one mg of mirapex daily after starting on one eighth mg about fifteen years ago. I told my doctor that there are better meds than mirapex now and just as the knowledgeable people here have said, doctors are ten years behind because he said if the mirapex is working, stay on it.

Mirapex nearly 2 years ago, my current meds are 0.125 mg Mirapx, 600 mg Horizant, and 10 mg methadone. Eventually I hope to taper the Mirapex to zero.

Tried Mirapex, Gabapentin, Pregabalin which all made me feel horrible so discontinued. Tried Acupuncture, Homeopathic, Naturopathid remedies. All seemed to work for awhile then not. Yoga helps as does walking at night when I cannot sleep because of the RLS.

He ordered the iron infusion treatment, once that is finished and my ferritin is above 75 we will start to wean the Mirapex and decide to start on gabapentin. He actually suggested Bupropion ! I have decided I do not want to take opioids at this time. I just cannot believe it.

I am currently taking 3 mirapex/ day ( 0.125 mg ). My rls is fairly well controlled with this dosage.

Came off mirapex a month ago and waiting for my dr. to give me a new medication. She mentioned gabapentin. I presently take oxycodone hcl. Anyone know when the infusion makes a difference in your rls???

tomorrow i will go back on mirapex if my legs dont get better. since it is a long weekend o dr. is not available I am walking and crying all night long. I think I need a new dr. How many baths can a person take. so sorry for ranting. I dont know what to do.

I didn’t consider it may be gabapentin augmentation because I had heard it doesn’t cause augmentation like the Mirapex I suffered from severe augmentation. Is it possible that this is gabapentin augmentation?

Traveled the paths of Mirapex (augmented) and Ropinerole (augmented). I was recently made aware of a neurologist in my area that specialized and researched RLS. During my recent appointment, he recommended eliminating the Ropinerole and slowly adding Pregablin.
