Finger oximeter
I still have not been able to cough that mucous up. Now my finger oximeter reads 89/39. Then a couple minutes later it goes to 92/77. It’s been doing this for quite some time. Cardiologist wanted to do an eblation. Didnt last long. So now on metoprolol. Hmmm. Anyone relate?

Cataract Surgery with permanent AF
New to the community. Have permanent AF, only meds Metoprolol to control heart rate and Aspirin. Saw some posts regarding cataract surgery. Anyone have similar AF "experience" that had cataract surgery? I'm a "timid" patient due to AF, but my cataract in one eye really needs attention. The community's

Not great update
My blood pressure went sky high after cleaning my upstairs wouldn't come down. I have never had a problem. So I called ambulance went to hospital. Guess my EKG had a blip they weren't too concerned but got worse so they suggested I stay and have a stress test. They took a lot if blood. One good thing

Status Update Post-atrial Cardioäblation:
Had rapid atrial quivering/fibrillation develop in Feb '21 while I was focused on avoiding a second heart attack after having had a major one 9½ years earlier. Got put on meds to see if AFib could be managed that way but worsened to the point that by Aug, my heart was tracked at 244 BPM and I'd collapsed

Coming off drugs b4 ablation
I’m on amlodipine (Ca channel blocker) and metoprolol (beta blocker). Plus flecainide (Na channel blocker). All fairly low doses. I have to come off them before my fourth ablation for four days so not looking forward to that. Anyone experienced withdrawal symptoms doing same?

Off beta block and Flec prior to Ablation?
I’m scheduled for my fourth (final?) ablation this time for atrial flutter. The EP asks me to stop taking Metoprolol (50mg 2x) and Flecainide (50mx 2x) four days prior. Additionally to stop amlodipine day of procedure. What are peoples’ experiences who have done this? I’m currently back in NSR due to

Body position helping ectopic beats
OK, it is 4 am… My PAF (which was weekly or twice a week) seems to have morphed into lots of ectopics in the last 4 weeks. The upside is less AF (just went almost 3 weeks in NSR, not complaining 🥴) but we all know the PACs and/or PVCs can almost feel worse. Does anyone else notice that sitting up

When to Stop Beta Blockers
Hi All - I’m wondering if the beta blockers I’m taking are doing more harm than good? I had never taken beta blockers (I’m now taking metoprolol 25 mg once a day) before my ablation, but after my ablation they were prescribed for the week following. Unfortunately I never felt comfortable not taking them

Health anxiety/Ectopic Beats
Hello, This is my first post on this forum and I probably will have a bit to unpack here on what’s going on with me over the last 1-1.5 years or so. I lost my dad suddenly almost 3 years ago and that has definitely caused massive anxiety (already suffered with it prior). Then the pandemic hit and then

Flecainide and Dilitiazem. What are your side effects?
Two weeks ago started taking 50mg of Flecainide twice a day plus 120mg of time release Dilitiazem once a day. First week a little rocky with several afib episodes and runs of ectopics (PACs and PVCs) that were terminated within 1-2 hours with an additional 50mg of Flecainide. Last week no episodes and

Pacemaker
Ive just had a 48 hour monitor which showed all afib all day and night low heart rate 40s 30s plus tachycardia several times my cardiologist stopped metoprolol weeks ago and now wants to stop diltiazem but wouldn't you think he would suggest a pacemaker? Had all drugs plus 3 ablations

Lisinopril and Lipitor
I have high blood pressure and Afib. I had an MRI on my brain and the doctor found I have had a couple of strokes. Thankfully they made my left side numb, but nothing more. I take 20mg of lisinopril a day and 80mg of Lipitor. I am continually nauseated, and my leg muscles are weak. I feel off balance

Fourth time a char?
Quick history- cardioversion to stop first event, cryoballoon ablation to stop subsequent ones. It lasted 4 years but with Afib episodes sporadically [despite beta blocker, dronedarone, Amiodarone (not all at the same time!)]. Two more rf ablations, three more cardioversions. No longer in Afib but in

Best treatment for sudden ectopics?
Hello, fellow AF/ectopics sojourners! I'm in Kentucky, new to HealthUnlocked. Had occasional vagally-mediated AF episodes for 10 yrs, but since covid started 2 yrs ago, I think stress/anxiety upped my episodes to weekly, and recently, every 3 days. I just started daily 12.5 mg metoprolol (2 days

Beta blockers and rash
Has anyone developed a rash from beta blockers? I had a horrible rash from 10 mg of metoprolol and doc put me on bisoprolol 5 mg. I am now starting to get same rash on bisoprolol after 3 weeks of taking med. I just can’t tolerate beta blockers. The rash is systemic and affects my entire body.

AFIB BP STRUGGLERS
All, I have never taken this drug but I have taken Amiodorone before. And you're right. It is awful so my dr took me off it. I am taking Propafenone now. I was to take 3 150mg per day. I did and felt horrible. So I started reducing it myself and I have found that 1 pill split into 2 does works
