All, I have never taken this drug but I have taken Amiodorone before. And you're right. It is awful so my dr took me off it. I am taking Propafenone now. I was to take 3 150mg per day. I did and felt horrible. So I started reducing it myself and I have found that 1 pill split into 2 does works well for me and I tolerate the effects very well. But I am taking Metoprolol twice a day.
The point I'm trying to make is that all these heart/blood pressure meds work together. I am asking my cardiologists for a full assessment of those meds so I can take the smallest effective dose and still have good results. It takes patience as you have to try different combinations but I think it is worth it. So far my drs gave been open to help me achieve this.
Good luck to all of us to be able to have a good solution on AFIB/BP issues. But, work with your dr. Dont attempt to change meds without his/her knowlrdge and advice. Also be careful with supplements.

It is empowering to have a doctor who takes the time to listen and advise. I have a first-class GP who is very much of the opinion (as you are) that we are overprescribed medication. With his approval I stopped daily flecainide (prescribed by the consultant at the hospital) and now use it as a PiP three or four times a year. I was diagnosed with AF just over six years ago and the PiP arrangement still serves me well.
