Metoprolol for a CT scan
Hi. I had a call today to say I’m going for a CT scan tomorrow. Long story but I’ve forgotten how to take the medication that was prescribed in November. There’s two tablets in the pack but how and when do I take them. Does anyone on here know? 😊 thank you

cryoablation
Well I thought things were getting slightly better yesterday but no way! This is weird but when I'm sleeping I dream that my heart flips and I can actually feel it doing that and I wake up and have to take a metoprolol. This has happened before and I don,t sleep well. Today the flips are back...so disappointing

Anyone else in afib 100% of the time?
After an ablation, several cardioversions and numerous medications, my pacemaker indicates that I have been in afib 100% of the time since last March. I'm on digoxin (which keeps me from feeling every skip and thump), metoprolol and Xarelto. I feel terrified for the future and discouraged that all

Post Wolf Minimaze - 11 days - feeling great
Post Wolf Minimaze - 11 days - I am off Eliquis for life since my surgeon Dr. Randall Wolfe at Houston Methodist Hospital clipped my Left Atrial Appendage. The LAA is where blood pools during afib and can cause a stroke. What a relief to have this done. I am currently AFIB free since 2/21/20 and was

Had an episode of A Fib in September 5 and then November 9. Both times i went the ER, afraid of developing a clot.

Bending over and arrhythmia, can anyone answer this question for me?
I am currently seeing two cardiologist one of them is the type that specializes in the electrical components of the heart. I am awaiting results of a sleep apnea test which for some reason are taking forever. So far I have no answers as to why when I bend over I get into an arrhythmia. It doesn't

harmful meds
Anybody have experience taking prescription meds for whatever reason, only later to discover that they are destroying your kidneys. For me hydrochlorothiazide, hctz and lopid gemfibrozol anti elevated triglycerides seem to be two drugs with potential for damaging kidneys.??

With food? Empty stomach? Take all together with or without food?
(sigh) I guess I need a consensus again, as ideally, I'd like to consolidate my medication into a better schedule if possible. At 9 a.m. every day, I take metoprolol with a bit of food. At 11:00 a.m., I take Pradaxa, an anticoagulant, and Flecainide, on an empty stomach. Twelve hours later at 11pm

Beta blocker while pregnant
Hey all, just wondering if anyone has taken metoprolol while pregnant ? I have been taking them for a year and just found out I’m 5 weeks pregnant. One doctor has told me I can stay on it and it’s safe, another doctor told me no and that I need to stop.

Importance of Blood Testing
Diagnosed with afib in Feb '21, taking .50gm of metoprolol to control heart rate. Recent blood test revealed glucose increased from 100 to 140 likely caused by metoprolol. Cardiologist currently considering other medications. (prior glucose readings were always below 110). Would encourage all to

From Flecainide and Sotalol to Metoprolol
I have switched from the “plumber” to the “electrician”. He took me off from Flecainide and Sotalol and put me on Metoprolol (25 mg twice a day) and keep having Digoxin through. My energy has improved a bit and, in general, feel much better… I didn’t have the Ablation indicated by my previous cardiologist
